What was known as It's Showtime's gorgeous Girltrends are now reinventing themselves as the next sought-after pop septet, GT, with the debut of their first single and a bolder, sexier look. This marks the group's departure from its bubblegum image and transformation into a group that reinforces empowerment which is the result of bringing together the bold and distinct personalities of its seven members - Dawn Chang, Mica Javier, Krissha Viaje, Chienna Filomeno, Mikee Agustin, Sammie Rimando and Joana Hipolito.

Mica is juggling her duties as music producer, indie artist and theater and film actress while Krissha is known for her sweet, steady voice considering that she won a Japanese global talent competition in 2017. Dawn, on the other hand, has been doing dance covers since her stint in Pinoy Big Brother back in 2015. A former university cheerleader, Joana was among of the top-rating noontime show's dancers before joining GT. Aside from making waves in social media for being outspoken and her spirited personality, Chie is also a professional racer. Then there is Mikee who is adored by her fans for her bubbly disposition but is also known for her song covers prior to her PBB audition. Finally is Sammie, the youngest member of the group at age 21 and one of the most prominent Filipino stars on the app TikTok.

GT's first single, dubbed Breakthrough, focuses on positivity and female empowerment and tells Filipino women that they have the power to shape their own destiny. The Fighters of ESPN5 Ultimate Boxing Series: Kamaong Pinoy
Twenty aspiring professional boxers from different parts of the country - ten flyweights and ten bantamweights with most of them unbeaten in their amateur careers - are slated to showcase their talent in the Ultimate Boxing Series: Kamaong Pinoy which is set to begin on June. These fighters will be contested in a series of bouts in the knockout round elimination stage to determine who among them is the champion of the said reality series which will be aired exclusively on ESPN5.

Aside from the bouts where each participant will have less than ten each under their belts, the series will also showcase the fighters' strength and conditioning training regimen as well as their backgrounds. These future Philippine boxing stars coming from different boxing staples across the country will be trained in one roof under the watchful eyes of former two-time Filipino world boxing champion Gerry Peñalosa who conducted the tryouts and evaluated the fighters.

All twenty aspirants are deemed capable and have the utmost potential to become the next big thing in Philippine boxing and Peñalosa assured that none of them are considered a "nuisance candidate". "The search for the next Filipino boxer can come from anywhere and bring something to the table - a new stable, a new boxing style, a new motivation," said ESPN5 president Chot Reyes. The Ultimate Boxing Series: Kamaong Pinoy is presented by ESPN5, the sports arm of The 5 Network, in collaboration with GerryPens Promotions.
