It has been more than five years or so since I gazed upon a standalone
virtual ride simulator inside a popular shopping center which is far from where
I live now and hoped that I can have the chance to experience the thrill of a
virtual reality ride at least once in my lifetime. Sadly, as times grow fast, my
hopes for a thrilling ride became uncertain after the simulation was completely
shut down. Well, imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon what is seemed to be
a unique 4D VR ride simulator on two comfortable chairs standing between the
corners of TimeZone - Robinsons Place Lipa.
It was only then that I recently found out that there is another one
sitting way beside the bicycle displays at Toys 'R Us Lipa but in a form of a
radical blue car. It's a good thing that there is a monitor mounted at the
front of the car so that we can see what is one riding on with VR glasses
intact. From there I was completely awed and my hopes of experiencing the
thrill of enjoying a 4D virtual reality ride were renewed for the most part. It
made me wonder what it feels like to enjoy the ride considering that everything
in the simulator is imbued with virtual reality.

Virtual reality never ceased to amaze me since I tried the Samsung Gear
VR at a Samsung store inside Robinsons Place Lipa about two years ago but you
won't make me express how I feel about experiencing a different kind of
reality. Then I stumbled upon a bunch of budget-friendly VR kits displayed at a
local department store downtown, but I doubt if these can offer the same premise
as the likes of the Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift and even the Sony PlayStation
VR. Unfortunately, it is rare for these kits to become available in most places
across the country with gadget stores inside shopping centers as legitimate exceptions.
To be honest, I don't want to talk much about the technical side of
virtual reality but I can understand that such innovation remains resilient and
kicking and there is much for it to become more viable since it is as fresh as
digital terrestrial television in the Philippines. And if you want to discover the
wonders of virtual reality that can become more impactful in the foreseeable
future, I suggest you should either have a first-hand try on the Samsung Gear
VR inside a Samsung Experience store in your area or experience the thrill of
being in a virtual amusement park through a 4D virtual reality simulator.
By the way, there are two types of 4D virtual reality simulators that
you can try at TimeZone located at the ground floor of Robinsons Place Lipa and
they can be tried at Php80 and Php100 per person. Just remember to follow the strict
rules and regulations there if you don't want your favorite 4D ride to mess up
your condition.
