When I first learned late last year that one of the upcoming original
content to be shown on the new and improved iWant is Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank
3, I felt ecstatically curious on what the next chapter of the intriguingly
laughable movie can offer especially when it comes to its main star Eugene Domingo.
At the same time, it reminded me of when I first watched Ang Babae Sa Septic
Tank on television a few years back but never have the chance to indulge on its
sequel. What I learned more from what was thought to be an original movie
exclusive on ABS-CBN's online streaming service is beyond the usual when it was
officially announced on social media.
Award-winning actress Eugene Domingo is making her return as herself in
the follow-up to the two critically acclaimed Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank movies
which will be available for online streaming starting July 17th, but it is not
what any movie buff or critic would think. First of all, it is not actually a
movie but a seven-episode series that boldly and wittily takes on historical biopics
after its satire prequels have poked fun at the local indie film scene and romantic
comedy flicks that literally made the Septic Tank brand popular. The next thing
about the series is a very interesting choice for a mockumentary that would
surely make audiences drool.
In Septic Tank 3, Eugene Domingo's character role as herself goes out
of her comfort zone and challenges herself by producing and directing her own
film and eventually taking on the lead role as Josephine Bracken, the
well-known paramour of Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal which will be portrayed
by hunk actor Tony Labrusca. As a first-time director, Direk Uge makes the
calls and decisions gathering the best talents in the industry to produce the
movie. Will her directorial debut achieve her desired outcome after casting
Labrusca as the hunky Jose Rizal? Well, it's for you to indulge and find out.
While waiting for the seven-episode mockumentary series to be dropped
for binge-watchers to enjoy, they can watch the first two Ang Babae Sa Septic
Tank movies on the streaming service for free. Co-produced by Dreamscape Digital
and Quantum Films, "Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 3: The Real Untold Story Of
Josephine Bracken" (Really?) is written and directed by Chris Martinez and
Marlon Rivera respectively. Download and install the iWant app on their mobile
devices for free from Google Play and iOS App Store or visit iwant.ph and enjoy streaming Ang Babae
Sa Septic Tank 3 starting July 17th. Heck, you can even binge-watch MOMOL
Nights, Radical Love, Pacquiao vs. Thurman, NCAA Season 95 and more.
