ABS-CBN Corporation, the premiere media and entertainment company in
the Philippines, has officially brought in a new and intriguingly unique sport
where anyone can expect more thrills and excitement that are at par with the
country's most popular and well-loved sports and its name is Hado Pilipinas.
Hado (a Nihonggo term for vibration or wave motion) is an augmented
reality game developed in Japan but it was adapted in many countries around the
world including China, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia,
Spain, Russia, UK and USA prior to its launch in the Philippines. Made possible
through its partnership with Japanese AR development company Meleap, Hado
Pilipinas is the latest addition to ABS-CBN's sleuth of fun, engaging and
interactive themed attractions and activities which will provide unique
experiences that everyone can enjoy.
Up to six players are required to play Hado PvP (Player versus Player)
per game where they will be grouped into two teams of three. The teams have 80
seconds to battle it out in the Hado PvP arena with the winning team to be
decided by who knocks out more opponents by the end of regulation. Each team
player will wear a Hado head mounted display and a side arm device which
enables them to get into the game, throw virtual energy balls at their opponents
and pull up their shields. Students from the member schools and universities of
the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) were the first to try out
and get a taste of the thrilling new technosport via the Hado Roadshow. On the
other hand, the Hado Pilipinas Camp which will open on the last quarter of 2019
inside the ABS-CBN compounds is slated to introduce the sport to ordinary
Filipinos.

The journey will involve the Hado Squad - Jairus Aquino, Jeremy Glinoga, Arabella
Del Rosario, Aiyana Perlas, Samm Alvaro and Kimson Tan - and resident Hado analysts
Roxanne Montealegre, Migs Gomez and Martin Javier going around the different
NCAA schools for the Hado Pilipinas NCAA Collegiate Cup 2019 where the winning
team gets an all-expense paid trip to Tokyo, Japan and represent the
Philippines in the upcoming 2019 Hado World Cup on December for a chance to win
¥2 million in cash.
