Nickelodeon, one of the leading kids channels in Asia Pacific, is
bringing the ultimate slime-filled multiplatform music and entertainment
festival to kids and families in the Philippines as Asia's first ever Nickelodeon
SlimeFest is slated to take place on September 28, 2019 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert
Grounds with Globe Telecom, the premiere purveyor of the Filipino digital
lifestyle experience, as the event's partner.
The Filipino music festival will mark the seventh local adaptation of the
popular event since its overseas inception in 2012 in Australia. More than 162,000
people have attended various Nickelodeon SlimeFest events around the world
including sold-out shows in South Africa, Australia, Germany, Italy, United
Kingdom and Spain. In fact, following its maiden landing in Philippine soil is
SlimeFest UK which will take place on October at The Arena At Blackpool
Pleasure Beach with more international event dates to be announced in the coming
months.
What can Filipino children, families and even the young at heart expect
from Asia's first Nickelodeon SlimeFest? Well, aside from Nick's signature green
slime, they can enjoy what they need to get their own festival mode turned on
including performances from top local and regional music artists, interaction
with their favorite Nick stars and characters and immersive one-of-a-kind experiences
where even those who don't have a ticket to the event can have fun as well.
Among those who will grace the SlimeFest are Thai-German singer, songwriter and
actress Jannine Weigel, 2018 MTV European Video Music Awards nominee for Best Southeast Asia Act IV of Spades, rising pop singer Carlie Hanson, 11-year-old rapper Alex Bruce and the Philippine All Stars. Adding to the festival feels are Kira Kosarin of Nickelodeon's The Thundermans hosting and performing on stage and Filipino actor/TV host Robi Domingo amping up the atmosphere.
The Nickelodeon Slimefest will be a full-day event comprising of a free admission festival area (from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm) and a ticketed live music concert (from 6:00 to 8:00 pm).In the free admission festival area, attendees and their loved ones can have a messy and blasting good time as they can meet and greet as well as take photos with their favorite characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, PAW Patrol and Dora The Explorer aside from Nickelodeon games, fun and immersively unique experiences and a ton of Nickelodeon's signature green slime. Globe customers can get a headstart on the festival with a first-hour exclusive from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
