For
the first time, a beauty pageant for mothers of all ages was held in the
province of Batangas as twenty-one lovely and hardworking moms have vied to
become the first Mrs. Philippines Batangas 2019. It was an intriguing sight for
those who have watched the event and even the curious locals such as myself and
is a strong statement that people like our mothers and grandparents can still
live their dreams as if we are watching the new McDonalds commercial on
YouTube.
As
reported by Marinela Jade Maneja and shared on the official Facebook page of the
provincial government's information office, the coronation night was held last
August 10, 2019 inside the Provincial Auditorium, Capitol Site, Batangas City.
Rizzalie Joy Ebreo, a 27-year old mother of one from Batangas City, was hailed
as the grand winner of the pageant. Meanwhile, other candidates who won in the
said event include Jean Macatangay of Bauan, Batangas as first runner-up; Angelica
Villena of Batangas City as second runner-up; Lipa City's Lizanie Cuenca as
third runner-up; Jeanet Garcia of San Pascual, Batangas as fourth runner-up;
and Maria Glavel Tasico of Malvar, Batangas as fifth runner-up.
Weeks
after the competition, 5th District Senior Board Member Claudette Ambiba Alday
and Board Member Arthur Blanco have filed a Resolution of Commendation honoring
Mrs. Philippines Batangas 2019 Rizzalie Joy Ebreo which was eventually passed
by the provincial council during its regular session held on September 2, 2019.
Giving importance to the province's continuing advocacy towards women
empowerment and child care, Ebreo and other winners have graced the said
session and interacted with the council.
Expect
Ebreo and the four Mrs. Philippines Batangas 2019 runners-up - Macatangay,
Villena, Cuenca and Garcia - to represent the province in the upcoming Mrs. Philippines
International 2019 which is slated to take place on December along with representatives
from Metro Manila and various provinces and showcase their beauty, brains and
