It's
only been about a year since realme took on the challenge of entering the
robust and highly competitive Philippine market and it would seem that the
fastest growing (and rising) mobile phone brand in the world has steadily but surely
established a strong presence in the local market and garnered milestones and
achievements along the way such as record-breaking online and offline sales, a
top spot among established smartphone brands, and a strong brand connection and
preference among smartphone users in the country.
Credited
to realme Philippines' undaunting success and traction is its powerful and
highly competitive array of products ranging from budget-friendly to upper
midrange mobile marvels that are synonymous to the brand's premise of delivering
high-tier experience at much more affordable price points and making technology
accessible to every Filipino that deserves optimum smartphone experience. These
include the entry-level royalties C1 and C2, midrange champions realme 3 and 3
Pro, quad-camera powerhouses realme 5 and 5 Pro and the recently-launched 64
megapixel quad-camera Xpert, the XT - all of which have rocked the local
smartphone market upon their arrival.
Meanwhile,
realme has been exerting its own efforts to establish itself in multiple touchpoints
across the country. It started with the brand's partnerships with leading
e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee and Argomall banking on the growing
online retail culture. It also broadens its reach offline leading to more than
4,500 partner stores nationwide in 2019 which was joined in by big local IT
players such as PC Express, Octagon, MemoXpress, Presnet and Comworks among
others. Another milestone that bore fruit is realme's partnership with top
financial company Home Credit in its commitment of making high-performing
devices attainable for every Filipino consumer. According to Home Credit PH's
Chief Sales Officer Peter Korinek, realme is among the top five smartphone
brands that customers have availed through its installment plans in just six
months.
Realme
Philippines' collaboration with Mobile Legends Bang Bang developer Moonton
cemented the brand's position in the gaming scene. The brand's own series of
MLBB tournaments further propelled the collaboration to new heights and was
supported by top local gamers and renouned MLBB personalities with millions of
social media followers. Its recent partnership with top PC brand Acer bolster
realme's presence in the local tech space acknowledging the tech savviness of
the Filipino consumer. This led to the brand's Christmas raffle promo #realGalo
where ten lucky customers who have bought a realme smartphone from November 23
to December 22 will receive an Acer Nitro 5 laptop PC.
Among
its strong, cemented and forged partnerships and relationships made throughout
its presence in the Philippines, realme's most valued one is none other than
its fans and user base. Realme Philippines currently has the largest and most
active smartphone user community in the country with more than 75,000 members
on its Facebook group interacting with brand executives on customer queries and
knowledge-sharing forums as well as participating in special events, promos and
activities. By the way, realme recently opened its flagship concept stores in
SM City Iloilo and SM City Sucat in its continuing premise of providing customers
optimum access to the brand's sleuth of products through increased offline
presence.
With
these in mind, what's next for realme Philippines in 2020? Well, looking
forward to the new year ahead, realme will continue to provide more
game-changing smartphone options to its Filipino fans by bringing in more innovative
and highly intriguing global mobile products and high-quality tech lifestyle
accessories such as the new wireless buds and tech backpack. With that, I congratulate realme Philippines for its successful first year and wish the brand good luck in their forthcoming endeavors next year.
