ONE eSports Bares Singapore Major On June 2020

ONE eSports, a subsidiary of Asia's largest and most valuable global sports media property ONE Championship, officially announced during its Media Day ahead of the recently concluded ONE eSports DOTA 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational the ONE eSports Singapore Major which is slated to take place inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium on June 20-28, 2020. 

Organized in partnership with PGL eSports, a total of US$1,000,000 and 15,000 DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) points will be up for grabs for participating DOTA 2 teams. In addition to the said announcement, ONE eSports also announced the ONE eSports DOTA 2 Jakarta Invitational Open Qualifiers where the top teams from across Southeast Asia get the chance to represent their represent countries and compete against the best DOTA 2 teams in the world in hopes of making it to the main stage which will be held on April 17-19, 2020 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE BSD).

During the Media Day, ONE eSports CEO thanked those who have been believing in its mission such as Red Bull, Lazada, JBL and SecretLab among others as well as the likes of eGG Network and Twitch which are delivering its message to the world. Alimurung also appreciated the undaunting support of the Singapore Tourism Board which has been instrumental for establishing the country as ONE eSports' homebase. He also stated that the organization is executing these herculean efforts to the eSports community in which the passion, energy and devotion to the sport drives it to do so.

On the other hand, PGL eSports CEO Sylviu Stroie expressed the group's anticipation for another great DOTA 2 Major in Southeast Asia following its successful staging in the Philippines and Malaysia. Considering that the ONE eSports DOTA 2 Singapore Major is set to be the final event of the 2019-2020 DPC season, PGL is expecting more interesting storylines and epic DOTA 2 action leading to The International 10 in Stockholm, Sweden. Speaking of the ONE eSports DOTA 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational, thousands of spectators inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium and millions around the world with their television sets, PCs and smartphones were able to enjoy almost a week of nonstop thrilling DOTA 2 action featuring twelve of the best DOTA 2 teams in the world. In the end, it was China's Vici Gaming that emerged victorious and won the invitational taking home the grand cash prize of US$200,000.
