The game has undergone lots of changes since the last time we saw MU Online back in 2013. The return of the game is set on Version 13.2 and promises a number of quality-of-life updates including streamlined graphics and gameplay. In MU Online's return to Philippine shores, there will be a total of nine character classes for players to choose from with each having their own roles in combat. These include the game's core classes namely the Dark Knight, Dark Wizard and Dark Elf. Once a character's level reaches 220, the hybrid magic tank class Magic Gladiator is unlocked while reaching Level 250 unlocks the Dark Mage.
Joining the aforementioned classes are the Summoner, Rage Fighter and Grow Lancer. These three can be availed at the Item Shop with no level requirement needed and sport unique mechanics that can be excitingly essential for PvP and PvE matches. Aside from the different classes, Playpark's MU Online also has a ton of weapons and armor which can be mixed and matched to suit one player's preference as well as Jewels that can be used to power up items. As for game modes, MU Online has a bevy of options that sets itself apart from any standard MMORPG such as the objective-driven Blood Castle and Demon Square where players face a never-ending horde of monsters.
To celebrate the return of MU Online in the Philippines, an international PvP tournament has been officially announced and is in the works. The MU Lords Southeast Asia Tournament pits the best guilds from the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia in a series of intense battles determining which is the best in the region. Details on the tournament will be revealed in the coming months. Aside from the tournament, Playpark is holding a community event for the game's long-time fans dubbed MU: The Reunion. The event is set to be held in Cebu on March 15, 2020 followed by Manila on March 18th and Cagayan De Oro on March 25th.
MU Online's return to the Philippine gaming scene officially kicked off with a Closed Beta Testing (CBT) which ends on March 15, 2020 with character wipes. It will then hold an Open Beta Testing (OBT) on March 18th with a commercial release with no server wipes. Pre-register MU Online for free now at https://preregister.playpark.com/mu.
