Since its re-inception in 2017, Major League Wrestling (MLW) has been making its own indelible mark in the professional wrestling industry with its own deep roster of talent, fruitful relationships with domestic and international promotions, a strong following on social media and its US broadcast partner BeIN Sports USA, international broadcast deals, and the league's CEO Court Bauer who has been instrumental in its continuing success. With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting more than one million people around the world, MLW is making its own strides in the sport with the commitment to deliver its own brand of epic professional wrestling action.

Despite its resiliency, the professional wrestling business never escapes reaping the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic - more particularly physical and social distancing which mandates people to stay at home and disallows various types of mass gatherings. While WWE, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and IMPACT Wrestling are filming their fresh content on closed sets which were exempted from the stay-at-home order issued in their respective locations, several promotions have opted to either postpone or cancel their forthcoming events altogether. Despite the postponement of its upcoming live events to later dates and several of its stars at home, MLW continues to expand its footprint.

As stated by Bauer in his interview with MLW.com, the league's relationship with Pro Wrestling NOAH, Dragon Gate and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide remain in good terms. In terms of new content, MLW is currently in the process of 50 new episodes which would keep it intact until 2021 without the need to do any live events. It also has other plans in mind such as a similar akin to the 1995 World Wrestling Festival where wrestlers from across the globe gather, perform and unite for one common cause. Furthermore, Bauer also pointed out the efforts of the medical frontliners, people who keep the supply chains running to offer essential services and others in keeping everybody safe from the threat of the pandemic. For Bauer, the COVID-19 frontliners are the true heroes in these dark and tough times and I personally agree with it.

Anyway, what makes MLW different from any other promotion striving to have a place in the sport is its roster of talents who have been propelling in their own way through moments made possible through the league's flagship weekly program Fusion. Among them are Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Brian Pillman Jr. who have been in an impressively intriguing encounter against each other in the 2019 Opera Cup as well as Alexander Hammerstone who has been dominating as the first National OpenWeight Champion with strength and caliber unmatched. On the other hand, former MLW World Heavyweight Champion "Filthy" Tom Lawlor is eyeing to capture the World Tag Team Championships from The Von Ericks (Marshall and Ross) with Dominic Garrini as his tag team partner. With these to watch out for including the MLW/AAA Super Series underway, it is without question that MLW will be among those who will literally keep the curve rolling for the benefit of professional wrestling fans around the world who are now staying in their homes and binge-watching what they have missed.
