2K Games Announces Mafia Trilogy For PS4, Xbox One And PC

2K Games' Mafia franchise is inviting you to live the life of a gangster across three distinct eras of organized crime in the United States Of America with the announcement of Mafia: Trilogy featuring the Definitive Editions of Mafia, Mafia II and Mafia III which can be availed via pre-order for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam and is set to become available on the Epic Games Store on a later date. There are also plans to release Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition on the Google Stadia according to 2K Games' official blog.

Mafia: Definitive Edition, a complete overhaul of the original game that has gained widespread critical acclaim upon its release in 2002, is considered to be the centerpiece of Mafia: Trilogy. Rebuilt from the ground up by Hangar 13, Mafia: Definitive Edition remains faithful to the original game. Slated to be released on August 28, 2020 and available for pre-order on its own as part of Mafia: Trilogy, the expanded 4K and HDR-ready remake not only makes dramatic improvements on the original's visuals and gameplay, but also builds upon its award-winning narrative and adds new features such as motorcycles and collectibles to the 1930s City Of Lost Heaven among others.

On the other hand, Mafia II: Definitive Edition - a lovingly remastered version of the 2010 fan favorite with greatly improved visuals and audio - and Mafia III: Definitive Edition are already available and come complete with all of their respective story add-ons and a host of bonus items. Gamers who have already owned Mafia II on Steam will be automatically granted Mafia II: Definitive Edition while owners of Mafia 3 on PS4, Xbox One and Steam will have their copy automatically upgraded to Mafia III: Definitive Edition - both with no additional costs required. Pre-ordering the digital version of Mafia: Trilogy will provide customers immediate access to Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition while waiting for the release of Mafia: Definitive Edition. Those who have pre-ordered Mafia: Trilogy or Mafia: Definitive Edition in any way possible prior to its August 28th release will receive special bonus packs along the way.
