Viva Entertainment has prepared a strong lineup of exciting new shows that will bring cheer, excitement and inspiration to Filipino viewers of all ages especially in the challenging times they are facing due to the pandemic. Five of these shows are slated to air on the Kapatid Network, TV5, throughout the fourth quarter of 2020 with the others to come next year. With this excitingly strong program lineup, the newly-forged partnership between VIVA and TV5 will sure to be a blast that can keep on coming and going.
Kicking off the VIVA-TV5 partnership is "Masked Singer Pilipinas" hosted by international R&B singing sensation Billy Crawford, set to premiere on October 24 (Saturday) at 7:00 pm. Based on the hit South Korean show King Of Mask Singer which has been adapted around the world including the US, be awed by the show-stopping performances of celebrity contestants concealed in masks and costumes. Every week, these performances are assessed by judges Cristine Reyes, Kim Molina, Matteo Guidicelli and Aga Muhlach where their scores can eliminate and unmask one of the highly confidential masked celebrity singers.
The high-rating comedy horror series from Sari-Sari Channel, "Ghost Adventures", returns for a second season which will pump up your mood starting October 31, Saturday. Par Jack (Benjie Paras), the country's famous ghost whisperer, continues to help ghosts cross over to the afterlife. But someone in the purgatory feels threatened by Par Jack's abilities and vows to keep him from succeeding in his mission. Joining Paras in his exciting adventures are Empoy Marquez and Kylie Versoza. Then there is "Bella Bandida", a new superhero fighting all kinds of injustices and promoting women empowerment, starring Ryza Cenon in her first title role following her remarkable portrayal of characters such as Ika-6 Na Utos' Georgia Ferrer, FPJ's Ang Probinsyano's Aubrey Hidalgo, and The General's Daughter's Jessie De Leon-Del Fierro. Starting November 23, follow the story of how Bella Bandida gets to acquire superpowers that will help her take down bad elements in society which happens to be loosely based on Francisco S. Coching's comic book of the same name.
Also premiering on November 23 is the weekly horror drama anthology "Kagat Ng Dilim". Once terrified viewers through tales told under the helm of master filmmaker Erik Matti back in the year 2000, viewers should prepare themselves for more dark tales featuring Filipino folktales, myths, creatures and urban legends that are sure to satisfy one's quench for scary experiences as expressed through the minds of critically-acclaimed directors Richard Somes, Lawrence Fajardo, Paul Basinillo and Rae Red. Finally, there is "Onstage" where you can relish moments that made an impact in the local concert scene and enjoy performances from their favorite stars and artists in the likes of "Anne-Kapal: The Forbidden Concert", "Revolution: The JaDine Concert", "The Crew: Billy Crawford, Sam Concepcion and James Reid", "SiKAT Ako: The Katrina Velarde Concert", and various concerts featuring Concert King Martin Nievera and PopStar Princess Sarah Geronimo among others.
Viva and TV5 will then take their winning combination all the way to 2021 with more exciting shows that Filipinos should look forward to including the second season of "Born To Be A Star", "Puto", Republika Origins and Philippine adaptations of hit reality and variety shows such as The Wall, 1000 Heartbeats, Encounter and Ninja Kids. In addition, Viva adds flare and flavor to viewers' tastebuds with its own sleuth of Korean dramas and foreign TV shows dubbed in Filipino. What more could you ask for?
