Oomph! TV, the biggest multi-channel network in the Philippines, continues to grow in views and influencers all throughout 2020. Led by Van Del Rosario who is the eldest son of VIVA Communications president and CEO Vic Del Rosario Jr., Oomph! has already established itself as the top online entertainment provider across social media platforms. Its reputation is most notable on YouTube where Oomph! TV creators have been steadily gaining a strong following in recent months. Van believes that Oomph! can provide the future with a wider reach to content creators in terms of tapping local and international audiences and crossing over to other media and all it takes is passion which is what the platform stands for.
Asia's phenomenal star and multi-awarded comedian/TV host Vice Ganda gained more than one million additional subscribers since joining Oomph! last July and has now reached more than 3.3 million subscribers on YouTube to date. Two of his vlogs, "Ang Istorya Ko Na 'Di Nyo Alam" and "My New Valurs (Part 2)" were on the top of the popular video sharing platform's On Trending list. The hilarious trio of Chad Kinis, Lassy and MC Muah, also known as the Beks Battalion, is also making waves on YouTube with more than 750,000 subscribers to date after gaining 500,000+ additional subscribers since signing up with Oomph! last April.
Another personality gaining subscribers on YouTube is, surprisingly, The Voice Kids Philippines' first grand winner Lyca Gairanod. In October 2020, Lyca has gained an additional 150,000 subscribers and her channel now has more than 1.11 million subscribers. Meanwhile, her TikTok account, now with 3.9 million likes, has officially been verified on the same month after garnering 568.3 thousand followers. Joining the roster of big stars making waves on YouTube, thanks to Oomph!, are Marjorie and Julia Barretto whom both have combined views of more than 20 million. Marjorie opened up her YouTube channel last March 2020 and, since then, has garnered a total of 8 million views. Julia's YouTube channel, on the other hand, has a total of 12 million views with videos garnering no less than 500,000 views and counting.
If the likes of Vice Ganda, the Beks Battalion, Lyca Gairanod and Marjorie and Julia Barretto inspire you to fuel your passion and start becoming a content creator, then you should be as VIVA is now searching for the #NextBigInfluencer through its TikTorista 2.0 contest. To join, simply upload a 15-60 second teaser or highlight of your vlog on TikTok whether it is a skit, song cover, make-up transformation, or anything as long as it has creativity, originality, universality and influencer potential.
