The arrival of the Sony PlayStation 5 marked a new chapter in the history of video games, but it would seem that Filipino gamers may have to wait for a while before legitimately getting their own hands on Sony's newest and probably most powerful and engaging next-generation system yet as an early Christmas gift. As announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore (SIES) Pvt. Ltd., the PS5 will be officially launched in the Philippines on December 11, 2020 and is set to become available in authorized gaming stores nationwide.
But before the big release, the console was up for pre-ordering online via Datablitz, Game One PH, and iTech among other gaming stores last November 20, 2020 and it only took less than five minutes for the pre-orders in these stores to have sold out considering that the most unique deal about the pre-order is that it was up for only five minutes which led to many disappointments and sad faces amidst the chaos created by the said promotion. I'm sure that some have their own PS5 pre-order stories that they can share with their friends and loved ones on social media. But for others who didn't make the rushed cut, there is a chance for you to own a PS5 and all you need to do is to wait or even earn more while waiting.
Anyway, Filipino gamers can now choose to prefer either the PS5 Standard Edition (Php27,990) and PS5 Digital Edition (Php23,990) depending on your liking, taste and preference. Coincided with the PS5 Philippine release, SIES will also release the following accessories for the system: DualSense™ wireless controller (standalone) - Php3,990, Pulse 3D™ wireless headset - Php5,590, HD camera - Php3,290, and DualSense™ charging station - Php1,690. Regardless of your preferred variant, the PS5 will come bundled with Astro's Playroom upon launch and will have Demon's Souls, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure on launch day as well but they can be availed separately considering that they are priced between Php2,490 and Php3,490.
With games such as Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and more as well as its innovative and highly-engaging technologies including haptic feedback and motion sensing system on DualSense™ controllers, the breadth of unique gaming experiences coming to the PlayStation 5 in the coming weeks and in the foreseeable future strongly represent the best lineup in PlayStation history and you can be assured that you will further explore and discover a new level of next-generation gaming experience like no other.
