Following its well-received debut on the big screen, GMA Pictures and Mic Test Entertainment offer online viewers a treat as the heartwarming movie "Family History" debuts on the global streaming service Netflix starting July 30, 2021. A brainchild of multi-awarded comedian and content creator Michael V., "Family History" also serves as the actor's directorial debut film released in 2019.
The movie follows the story of Alex Dela Cruz, played by Michael V., a happily married man who finds himself at a crossroads when a life-changing disease challenges his marriage to his wife May, portrayed by none other than highly-acclaimed actress Dawn Zulueta. Joining them in the movie are talented Kapuso stars Miguel Tanfelix as Alex and May's only son Malix Dela Cruz and Bianca Umali as Malix's girlfriend Jenna Roque who longs for a family figure. Also part of the stellar cast are John Estrada, Paolo Contis, Nonie Buencamino, Kakai Bautista, Ina Feleo, Mikoy Morales, Nikki Co, Jemwell Ventinilla and Vince Gamad with special cameo appearances of Kapuso primetime king Dingdong Dantes as Dr. Ronaldo Cruz and comedienne/TV host Eugene Domingo as Liza De Guzman.
The movie captured the hearts of viewers and received critical acclaim for its refreshing take on the values of life, marriage and love. "Family History" is the latest addition to the growing list of GMA Network content available on the popular video streaming platform.
