Globe Telecom, the premiere purveyor of the Filipino digital lifestyle experience, continues to elevate customer experience while keeping its customers safe with a new digital store concept that combines traditional brick-and-mortar Globe stores with a digital retail format. Called Shop and Pay, this hybrid offering is a one-stop shop for Globe's essential products and services. It was introduced as part of Globe's annual 917 Day celebration inspired by its most iconic prefix 0917. The telco makes it a point to show its appreciation to loyal customers through innovations that can uplift their lives.
“Globe provides today’s life-enabling essentials packaged in a reinvented retail experience centered on customer care and safety. With the pandemic and the growing adoption of digital technologies, we saw a big opportunity to mix online and on-ground retail experience for our customers,” said Globe Telecom Executive Vice-President for Channel Management Bernie Llamzon. With the resurgence of COVID-19 cases across the country, customers are looking for an alternative, safe and convenient way to do their transactions in the new normal, thus, the rapid shift to digital. The Globe Shop and Pay digital kiosks will help address customer hesitancy to visit and transact in physical stores. Instead, customers can use a digital touchscreen display in purchasing products and availing services.

QR codes can be scanned, leading to online shops for payment and delivery requests. Customers can use the "lift and learn" option to know more about the available products. Once a demo unit is listed, the video displayed will be interrupted to show the unit's features and the corresponding offer bundled with it. If two demo units are lifted, a comparative table will appear to show both phone features and plan offers. The digital displays also educate customers on available digital channels highlighting mobile applications such as GlobeOne, GCash and Globe At Home to help in the transition towards digital transformation. Likewise, there are vending machines in the Globe Shop and Pay kiosks for bills payment, cash-in to GCash, load top-up or buying prepaid load cards or SIM cards.
