Your Song of Excellence 2023 – Taiwan Excellence’s search for the Philippines’ best singers and songwriters co-presented by Aromase, Derma Angel, and Johnson Fitness & Wellness – culminated its third year run last November 18, 2023 at the Activity Center of Market! Market! in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig City with the Live Grand Finals Event that bore witness to a celebration of outstanding Filipino talent with the Top 3 Grand Finalists from both Singer and Songwriter categories fighting their way to the bitter end.
Before the grand battle on the big stage, the Grand Finals opened with an energizing performance of the Your Song of Excellence 2023 jingle by this year's Celebrity Judges Yeng Constantino, Arthur Nery, Ice Seguerra, and Paulo Zarate. The performance round for the Singer Category was nothing short of amazing with three powerhouse performers who have been molded by their respective singing journeys, each with their own roads leading to the Grand Finals stage. In the end, Julius Cawaling came out triumphant with two equally hair-raising performances, beating 1st Runner Louise Alivio and 2nd Runner Up Alyssa Erasquin to the win, in what is deemed a close race. The battle for Grand Champion in the Songwriter Category was also a close race as well with the Final 3 Songwriters presenting their fully realized Grand Finals songs in front of a big crowd. Through their partner singers, these talented composers fought their way through their creative storytelling and melodies with every lyric tugging at the heartstrings of the audience. Coming out on top in the end is Lyndon Nagar winning over 1st Runner Up Juls Burce and 2nd Runner Up Popa Elorde.
Helping to present the awards to the winning contestants were VIPs comprising of Minister of Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines Dustin Yang; Taiwan Trade Center Manila Director Alex Lai, Manager Christine Kuo, and Senior Project Manager Janine Tan; and Taiwan External Trade Development Council Project Managers Yvonne Hsiao and Valerie Lin, making the event even more special with their esteemed presence. The Grand Champions received a Php50,000 cash prize and Php50,000 worth of Taiwan Excellence products each. The 1st Runners Up won Php30,000 cash prize each while the 2nd Runners Up won Php20,000 cash each as well as Php50,000 worth of Taiwan Excellence products per runner up.
The Live Grand Finals Event was also streamed live on the Taiwan Excellence Philippines' official Facebook page.
