Watsons continues to do good for others by helping to provide free diagnostic tests and medications to areas in need through its medical missions. As the leading health retailer in the Philippines, Watsons is committed to its Environmental, Social, and Governance goal of helping to uplift the health and well-being of the community through its Alagang Pangkalusugan initiatives which have been conducted since 2013 in various regions across the country. Watsons brought Alagang Pangkalusugan to Cebu last November 15, 2023 at the Hoops Dome Arena in Lapu Lapu City.

Residents of Lapu Lapu were able to enjoy free doctor consultations and free medicines prescribed by doctors as well as free BP monitoring, ECG, blood glucose monitoring, dental services, uric/hemoglobin/cholesterol tests, skin analysis, bone screening, audiometry, hair analysis, eye check-up, and chest X-ray. The services provided by Watsons were availed themselves of by a total of 784 patients, exceeding the target of 500 patients to be served. The Alagang Pangkalusugan initiative by Watsons in Cebu gathered 41 local volunteers and Watsons employees with Lapu Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Quirante Chan and District Representative Ma. Cynthia K. Chan gracing the medical mission. As the Alagang Pangkalusugan program continues to reach other areas in the Philippines, Watsons has been seeing rising employee participation in support of the cause across all areas as more and more patients benefit from the initiative.

“Since 2013, Alagang Pangkalusugan has benefited over 6,500 Filipinos. Watsons is very proud to be a partner of Filipino families in their journey to good health. We’re also very happy that our employees are participating in this. We are very grateful to all the volunteers and our supplier partners who took part in this initiative,” said Watsons Philippines CSR Pillar Head Belle Pesayco. Because doing good is not something that Watsons can do alone, the retailer enlisted the help of its supplier partners. Among the brands that supported the medical mission were JLC Miller, North Summit, Ritemed, Torrent, and Fine Nutrition.

KmmunityPH also supported “NEVER LOST” of EXO’s Kim Jongdae and TWICE x ONCE 8th Anniversary while preparing for Enhypen’s 3rd Anniversary Fangathering dubbed “EN-GRANDE: The 2023 ENNIVERSARY Celebration" which was eventually held last November 27, 2023 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. KmmunityPH also brought all fan groups together for the “K-leidoscope” event held last November 25-26, 2023 at the GCreator House (BGC) and Baked Studios (Makati) to meet and stan with fellow fans. There were also weekly dance classes featuring KPop at the Globe Creator House last November 14-December 6, 2023. These initiatives aim to foster deeper connections among fans and to celebrate K-culture.

Ramping up partnerships, KmmunityPH has joined forces with the renowned local fashion brand BENCH, granting fans the unparalleled experience of meeting idols such as ITZY, Wi Ha Jun, Kim Seon Ho, and Ahn Hyo Seop. Senate Spouses Bring Early Christmas Magic To Tahanang Mapagpala

The Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI) and The SM Store partnered to bring early Christmas cheer to 60 kids from the Tahanang Mapagpala Center in Caloocan City. The event, held at The SM Store Megamall, kicked off with an early lunch at Wendy’s followed by a shopping spree at the store. SSFI President Audrey Zubiri led the spouses comprising of Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano, Tootsy Angara, Neil Llamanzares, Nancy de la Rosa, Gladys Cruz (wife of Senator Joel Villanueva), Atty. Emmeline Villar, and Maricel Tulfo (daughter of Senator Raffy Tulfo) helped the kids shop for clothes, shoes, accessories, and toys.

The Office of Senator Bong Go donated volleyballs and basketballs while Jollibee treated the kids to delicious food packages. The delighted kids serenaded the spouses with Christmas Carols, thanking the Senate Spouses and SM for making their Christmas special today. Christmas in November has been a joint project of SSFI and SM Store since 1998 to bring holiday joy to less fortunate children. Among their beneficiaries are the kids from the Tahanang Mapagpala Center in which SSFI supports.

The Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI) is a non-profit organization composed of the wives of incumbent and former senators of the Philippines. The foundation is dedicated to promoting social welfare and development, with a focus on education, healthcare, and livelihood. Shakey's Super League Raises Php11M For Member Schools Thru Shakey's Bundle Promo

There’s more to it in the Shakey’s Super League (SSL) than just volleyball games. For the second straight season, the SSL raised a huge sum of proceeds through its Collegiate Pre-Season Championship games to be shared by all the participating schools their respective athletic programs. The SSL, through the Super League Bundle of its patrons dedicated to the schools, amassed a whopping donation of Php11,983,800 this season after raising more than Php8M during its inaugural tournament last year.

The collection came from patrons of Shakey’s Pizza nationwide who, for every order of Super League Bundle all-year long, would have Php50 out of the Php1,499 feast promo dedicated to their chosen school. From the 16 participating colleges, SSL fourth-placer Adamson University received the most donations amounting to Php1,390,200. Back-to-back champions National University, Jose Rizal University and Arellano University had more than Php900K each. Lyceum of the Philippines University got more than Php800K while Ateneo De Manila University, bronze-medalist Far Eastern University and Emilio Aguinaldo College had more than Php700K apiece and Mapua University, University of the East and silver-medalist University of Santo Tomas with more than Php600K each. University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, Letran, San Sebastian College-Recoletos, De La Salle-College of St. Benilde and San Beda University were given more than Php500K each.

The schools will spend the donations of Shakey’s for intensive training camps here and abroad as well as for the improvement of their gyms and equipment. “We made a commitment to ourselves na tutulungan namin ang volleyball no matter what. We’re lucky and privileged to be of help pero galing din naman ho ito sa Shakey’s patrons,” said Gregorio, joined by general manager Jorge Concepcion with ACES president Dr. Ian Laurel and director Ariel Paredes. “Kung di po dahil sa volleyball, siguro ang Shakey’s wala rin po dito ngayon. We’re really not hesitant to help as our involvement really helped reintroduced the brand to the young people. Rest assured, we committed ourselves to volleyball 100%. We’ll support volleyball all the way," added Gregorio.
