Just in time for YGIG’s first debut anniversary and PLUUS’ recent love song release, SBTown in cooperation of Universal Records Philippines spoil fans with an early Aguinaldo through their rising P-Pop groups’ collaboration Christmas song — “Maligaya ang Pasko" which literally means “Christmas is happy/merry" and is also a play word for "Maligayang Pasko!" which means “Merry Christmas!” This song entails how a guy desperately aims to win the heart and spend Christmas with the girl he likes. However, his attempts all ended with a climactic rejection. But don’t fret because YGIG and PLUUS are here to bring you laughter and joy this holiday season.

Known for their powerful sibling dynamics, YGIG and PLUUS have been untiringly giving their all with their consistent song releases where YGIG had a two-month-long comeback for their YLGOIVGE album release and PLUUS with their two singles Missing You and Shining Star. This exciting collaboration added fuel to the fiery support of WeGo (fans of YGIG) and SUM (fans of PLUUS), especially after YGIG’s Maeg joined as PLUUS’ Justin’s leading lady in PLUUS’ Shining Star music video. Apart from this collaboration song, YGIG and PLUUS have been actively promoting through their joint local mall tours (WeGo SUM-all Tour), TV appearances on GMA Network's All-Out Sundays and ABS-CBN's ASAP Natin ‘To, a feature on PARCINQ Magazine, and many other events.

An even remarkable performance can be recalled from two groups back when they represented the Philippines during the Jeonju Music Festival 2023 in South Korea last August. For the last quarter of the year, these groups wanted to end the year merrily with a song that can warm the cold season and give joy not only to fans and P-Pop enthusiasts, but also to everyone who might spend their holidays in solitude. This collaboration Christmas song is the 6th officially released song of both groups: YGIG having Shaba-Shaba, Doob Doob, Touchdown, BB (Beautiful Boy), and IDKY; while PLUUS having My Time, Cross My Heart, Amigo, Missing You, and Shining Star. YGIG (stands for “You Go I Go”), is a six-member girl group composed of Alexei, Hazelyn, Jewel, JM, Maeg, and Vien. PLUUS (from “Plus, Us”) is also a six-member boy group composed of JL, Justin, Haro, Gab, Theo, and Yen. Both groups are bound to establish their names in local and international scenes representing Filipino culture and music.
