GMA Network, the largest and leading broadcast company in the Philippines today, has officially unveiled its roster of upcoming television shows and movies that are slated to be shown throughout the new year showcasing world-class Filipino entertainment and bannered by the country's biggest and brightest stars. The unveiling of the 2024 lineup was made public during the Kapuso Countdown To 2024 and can be seen on the Kapuso network's social media accounts.
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera makes her much-awaited comeback in a series with bankable actor Gabby Concepcion. Together, they headline “My Guardian Alien", a story of an alien who lands on Earth and becomes part of a loving family. Will she return to her territory or has she finally found her home? Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado also returns to primetime with in-demand leading man Xian Lim in “Love. Die. Repeat.” Jennylyn portrays Angela, who lost her husband in a car accident. Soon, she realizes she is stuck in a time loop and is forced to live the worst day of her life over and over again. Will she be able to save her husband, or is she doomed to experience more pain every single day? High-caliber actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Kapuso Total Heartthrob Rayver Cruz team up for the first time in “Asawa Ng Asawa Ko". Everyone thought Cristy had died during a rebel attack. Until one day, she returns to the lives of her family. But to her surprise, her husband has already married someone else. Both "Love. Die. Repeat." and "Asawa Ng Asawa Ko" are set to kick off the new year when they premiere on January 15, 2024 as the initial offerings of the Kapuso network's top-rating and top-trending primetime block now known as GMA Prime.
Four of the biggest Kapuso stars come together in “Pulang Araw". Starring Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards, First Lady of Primetime Sanya Lopez, Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco and Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, the series is set in World War II and revolves around the intertwining story of four individuals who must choose among country, family, friends, and love. GMA Afternoon Prime continues to set the bar high with more out-of-the-box and cutting-edge offerings. Set to premiere in 2024 is the first-ever adaptation of a K-Drama in the afternoon slot entitled “Shining Inheritance". Leading the powerhouse cast are Kate Valdez, Kyline Alcantara, Michael Sager, and seasoned actress Ms. Coney Reyes. Kapuso Little Princess Jo Berry is “Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law". This is the story of “A Family Like Us". Get to know the woman diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency syndrome in “Forever Young". She is a charming public servant trapped in a girl's body. But this extraordinary condition does not stop her from serving people. This 2024, meet the CEO who is on the brink of losing her most beloved grandson. The only one who can help her is the father of the child whose life she had ruined years ago. “For the Love of Kobe” is a narrative about forgiveness set in the backdrop of the world of basketball.
