Basketball fans in the Philippines had the time of their lives with a meet-and-greet session with five-time NBA Champion Derek Fisher held last April 17, 2024 at a vivo Philippines concept store in SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. The event hosted by vivo, the official smartphone of the National Basketball Association (NBA), marked the second time the top local smartphone brand has partnered with the league to bring unique experiences to Filipino fans.

During the question and answer portion, one Filipino fan thanked Fisher for inspiring him to chase his basketball dreams, especially after watching the NBA player perform in back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010.
