This pride month of June, Viu Philippines puts a spotlight on its Boys Love (BL) romance-comedy series produced by GMMTV, a Thailand-based topnotch entertainment company involved in TV and music production, as it is proud to announce that its premium Asian content now includes the series “Wandee Goodday” and “My Love Mix-Up!” joining other BL series available on the platform including “Close Friend”, “Close Friend 2”, “Close Friend 3 Soju Bomb!”, “Bite Me the Series”, and “Kiseki in Tokyo Chapter 2” with viewers expecting more of these to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
“Wandee Goodday” tells the story of Dr. Wandee who, because of a broken heart and drunkenness, has a one-night stand with Muay Thai fighter Yo Yak Phadetseuk. The two agree on a “friends with benefits” set-up to prevent getting serious with each other. However, feelings get in the way and Dr. Wandee and Yo Yak discover that their fake relationship might not be unreal after all. This series based on a novel features Thailand’s hottest and sexiest BL actors. Inn Sarin Ronnakiat, star of the popular Thai BL series “The Miracle of Teddy Bear”, makes his first BL with GMMTV playing the title role of Dr. Wandee. Sapol Assawamunkong, who portrays the fighter Yo Yak, has starred in the Thai adaptations of the K-dramas “Beauty Newbie” and “Start-Up”.
“My Love Mix-Up!”, meanwhile, takes viewers to the fun world of high school where we meet the timid and shy Atom, his charming seatmate Matmi, and the cute and confident Kongthap. Atom likes Matmi but she likes Kongthap. Atom accidentally drops Matmi’s eraser with Kongthap’s name written on it and then Konthap assumes that Atom likes him. Gemini Norawit Titicharoenrak and Fourth Nattawat Jirochtikul play Atom and Kongthap, respectively. The two comprise the “Geminifourth” BL tandem that has developed a following in Asia, including the Philippines.

"JulieXStell: Ang Ating Tinig" Concert Happening This July

GMA Synergy, in partnership with GMA Entertainment Group and 1Z Entertainment, proudly presents “JulieXStell: Ang Ating Tinig", a two-night concert featuring Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose and Stell Ajero of P-Pop Kings SB19. Directed by Paolo Valenciano, the concert is set to happen on July 27-28, 2024 at 8:00 pm at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. “We came up with ‘Ang Ating Tinig’ because, of course, Stell and I are very excited to share with everyone our joint voices. And more importantly, for these two very special nights, sama-sama nating maririnig ang mga kantang nagbigay boses sa mga kuwento natin,” said Julie. “Gusto talaga naming maipakita ang strength namin. So, may hula na siguro kayo kung ano ‘yung mga magiging performance namin na magpapakita nun. At the same time, wala ring masama na mag-try kami ng something new, kaya excited kami sa mga pasabog na magiging surprise sa mga manonood,” added Stell.

Production On Upcoming HBO Original Drama Series "A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms" Now Underway

Production has commenced on the HBO Original drama series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, an adaptation of George R.R. Martin's novella The Hedge Knight, in Belfast, Ireland. A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros - a young, naïve but courageous knight Ser Duncan the Tall and his diminutive squire Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.
Newly announced cast include Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Barotheon, and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen join the cast of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, from George R. R. Martin and Ira Parker, alongside previously announced cast members Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell. Sarah Adina Smith (Lessons In Chemistry, Hanna, Buster’s Mal Heart) has joined to direct three of the six episodes with previously announced director and executive producer Owen Harris working to direct the other three episodes. The series is written and executive produced by George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker with Ryan Condal, Vince Gerardis, Owen Harris, and Sarah Bradshaw serving as co-executive producers as well.

Filtr and Sony Music Entertainment have recently teamed up for the ‘Summer POPsicle SZN’ playlist, a curated mix of chart-topping hits featuring some of the biggest international acts. The playlist includes fan favorites such as “Greedy” by Tate McRae, “Water” by Tyla, “Saturn” by SZA, “drunk text” by Henry Moodie, “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield, “double take” by Dhruv, “Stargazing” by Myles Smith, and local hits from BINI and Maki.

Former "Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT)" contestants and power belters Anton Antenorcruz, Raven Heyres and Saga take pride in being part of the LGBTQIA+ community and make a collective call for unity in celebration of Pride Month through their latest collaborations "Bilang" and "Say It Clear, Say It Loud" produced by none other than the Philippines' King of Talk Boy Abunda. These tracks serve as the first two singles included in the upcoming EP "Say It Clear, Say It Loud", the first Pride EP conceptualized by Boy and to be released locally and worldwide under ABS-CBN's Star Music.
Bilang” is a disco-pop song that also serves as a lyrical plea for LGBTQIA+ members to be acknowledged, accepted, and heard while "Say It Clear, Say It Loud" is a message of inspiration and encouragement for them who aspire to express themselves freely and without any fears or doubts in today's modern world amidst criticism and discrimination. For Anton, these collaborations strengthened his friendship with Raven and Saga as they uplift one another through music. In an Instagram post, Anton said, “Kayo ang reason ba’t gumagaan ang trabaho natin, marami akong natututunan, at naniniwala ako na we bring out the best in each other.”
Since their “TNT” journey, Anton, Raven, and Saga have continued to flourish with their respective careers. Anton has showcased his vocal prowess with singles such as “Pagbigyang Muli” and “Dating Akin". Raven became a viral sensation on TikTok for his stellar covers and performance.
