BRAVE Combat Federation, the most global mixed martial arts (MMA) organization in the world today, is set to make history as it takes center stage at the highly-prestigious SPORTO Conference 2024 in Portorož, Slovenia on November 21-22, 2024. This participation marks a significant step forward for MMA in the European sports landscape. As SPORTO celebrates its 20th year as one of Europe’s premier sports marketing events, BRAVE CF will highlight the growing influence of MMA. With a record of hosting events in 34 countries worldwide, including 15 in Europe, BRAVE CF stands out as the sport’s global ambassador.

The impact of BRAVE CF on European MMA has been remarkable. The organization has played a key role in elevating MMA to national sport status in both Serbia and Slovenia. Earlier this year, BRAVE CF held a successful event in Slovenia where two new World Champions were crowned following the sold-out BRAVE CF 81 event. Through strategic partnerships with local organizations such as WFC and the Slovenian MMA Federation, BRAVE CF has effectively engaged local media, gained support from government officials, and attracted interest from private businesses. These achievements in promoting MMA will be a central focus at the conference along with BRAVE CF’s vision for the future of the sport. BRAVE CF President Mohammed Shahid emphasized the importance of this event by stating, “We are excited to be part of SPORTO again this year. Brave Combat Federation has hosted events in a record number of countries in Europe as well as bringing together the best of European MMA and World MMA together under a robust structure. Sporto conference is the perfect opportunity to bring top stakeholders in sports closer to the best opportunity in the mixed martial arts industry.”

The SPORTO Conference will also lead into another milestone for BRAVE CF: BRAVE CF 90 in Austria on November 23. This event will mark Austria as the 35th country globally and the 16th in Europe to host a BRAVE CF event, setting an unmatched record in the MMA world. Slated to take place at the Multiverse Schwechat in Vienna in partnership with Sparta CF, this historic event showcases a thrilling fight card featuring athletes from 11 countries across three continents, highlighting the global appeal and reach of BRAVE CF in the world of mixed martial arts. The first-ever BRAVE CF event in Austria will feature fighters from the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, France, Romania, Bahrain, Croatia, Morocco, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Austria itself. Fans will be treated to top Austrian MMA talent sharing the spotlight with notable international stars. The main event pits Austria’s own undefeated Super Welterweight star Muslim Danaev against Dutch sensation Chequina Noso Pedro. Danaev, quickly rising as a top figure in Austrian MMA, is eager to showcase his skills on the world stage. Pedro, also undefeated in BRAVE CF, seeks his third victory in the promotion and aims to make his case as a serious contender in the Super Welterweight division. In the co-main event, Bahrain’s undefeated Rasul Magomedov squares off with Polish grappling expert Łukasz Olech. Magomedov is pursuing a Light Heavyweight title shot while Olech enters the cage on a three-fight winning streak, each victory achieved by submission.

Austria’s own Magomed-Emin Dadaev will defend his undefeated record in the Lightweight division against Germany’s Davlet Karataev who brings a five-fight winning streak with all victories via finishes. Boxing standout Agron Smakici, known for sparring with champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, makes his BRAVE CF debut as he faces Poland’s Robert Maruszak who enters with a five-fight winning streak across MMA and kickboxing. Striking legend Youssef Boughanem faces a challenging test in French veteran Johan Van de Hel, an accomplished Thai National MMA champion and bare-knuckle boxer. Undefeated in MMA, Boughanem made an impression with his BRAVE CF debut at BRAVE CF 83 in the Netherlands and will look to continue his dominance. Adding to the night’s excitement, Afghanistan’s Zabiullah Mubarez returns after a memorable performance at BRAVE CF 87 to face Austria’s Abubaker Soltabiev who recently claimed victory via submission. Fans can expect an intense showdown between these fighters riding high on momentum. IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) standout Songül Karatorak will make her professional debut in a Strawweight bout against Poland’s Kinga Jendrasik. Additionally, Bulgaria’s undefeated Flyweight Nikolay Atanasov adds to the excitement in another thrilling matchup. The early prelims will showcase Austrian talent as they take on top international names including a key bout between European Grappling champion Narges Mohseni and IMMAF European champion Dominika Steczkowska.

With BRAVE Combat Federation leading the change in the MMA world, the organization is an apt representative of the sport at the SPORTO conference.
