GMA Network Solidifies Digital Dominance In 2024

Leading Philippine broadcast media company GMA Network further strengthened its digital leadership in 2024 as online video viewership surges and website traffic shows impressive ranking, data from both Tubular Labs and Similar Web reveal. According to January to November 2024 data from the global video measurement and analytics platform Tubular Labs, the network recorded over 40 billion video views across all creator properties on Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok as of November 30, 2024. This was ahead of ABS-CBN’s 34.3 billion video views for the same period. In November alone, GMA had a total of almost 4.5 billion video views across various platforms with over 1.6 on Facebook, over 2 billion on TikTok, and 774 million on YouTube. In October, GMA recorded 4.3 billion video views. The increase in GMA Network’s video viewership in November further demonstrates its commitment to producing compelling online content that connects and engages with audiences.
GMA Network also retained its 19th spot in the Tubular Leaderboard Worldwide Rankings under the Entertainment and Media Category, and is still the highest-ranking media company in Southeast Asia in November. Furthermore, according to data from analytics firm Similar Web, GMANetwork.com leads from January to November 2024, tallying over 249 million page views. For November, GMANetwork.com is the No. 1 Local News and Media Publisher in the Similar Web Top Websites’ country ranking, tallying the highest number of unique visitors and pageviews versus the other publishers. This places GMA at the 87th ranking in the Philippines, way ahead of Inquirer.net at the 97th spot and Philstar.com at 128th. Against last October’s ranking, GMA went up coming from the 93rd spot. Christmas came early for the collegiate season's first-semester victors with University of the Philippines, National University, and Mapúa University at the forefront as newly-crowned basketball royalty. Fresh off their winning seasons, these champions on the court turned their attention to a different kind of game off it: giving back. The Collegiate Press Corps (CPC) culminated another stellar year of sports with its annual Christmas outreach program, spreading the spirit of giving beyond the hardcourt. For the second year running, the college scribes visited Concordia Children's Services Inc., a Manila-based orphanage that has fostered abandoned and at-risk children over the last four decades.
Years of goodwill from Concordia's long-time donors made its humble shelter feel like home for kids who long for home. With presents on hand to go by its collective presence, the Collegiate Press Corps made their new home feel warmer. Members of the CPC stepped back from their usual coverages and brought out the inner child in them to share moments of laughter and joy with the kids through fun activities such as face painting, festive games, and interactive magic and bubble shows. The Concordia kids and their caretakers also received food, toys, medicine, and groceries to ensure they'll be taken care of beyond the holiday season and back to school after the New Year. The group also shared meals with Concordia kids and caretakers, as well as laughter, fun and joy that's only fitting this Christmas time. "Sports is a gift that keeps on giving and there's no better time to champion this than Christmas time. We hope for this advocacy to be an annual foray in the long list of Collegiate Press Corps' programs, through the help of course of our partners from the UAAP, NCAA and the entire sporting community," said CPC president John Bryan Ulanday of the Philippine Star.
