The stage is set for a milestone as Mr. & Ms. Chinatown Global (MMCG) officially signed with the Smart Araneta Coliseum on November 3, 2025, marking its grand return for Year 2 at one of the country’s most iconic venues. Known as the home of Binibining Pilipinas and the legendary Thrilla in Manila, Smart Araneta Coliseum has hosted countless landmark events, cementing its place as a symbol of Filipino excellence and global prestige. The venue will now serve as the official stage for the MMCG Year 2 Winners Night, happening on February 10, 2026. MMCG also proudly announced its new leadership under Pageant Director Nicole Cordoves and Assistant Pageant Director and Pageant Manager Cassandra Chan — signaling a bold new chapter for the CHiNOY TV-produced cultural pageant.
A Binibining Pilipinas alumna crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2016 and Miss Chinatown 2014, Cordoves is also the longest-running host of Binibining Pilipinas, having graced the Araneta stage for six consecutive editions. With her extensive experience in pageantry and media, she now steps into a larger role — leading a new generation of cultural ambassadors and shaping the vision for MMCG Year 2. Cordoves shares, “Mr. & Ms. Chinatown Global is where tradition meets tomorrow — a platform that honors our heritage and empowers a new generation to lead with pride. This chapter is also about paying forward what I’ve learned in pageantry, alongside CHiNOY TV, shaping a space where culture, purpose, and representation meet.” Joining her is Cassandra Chan, Miss Chinatown Philippines 2022 and Miss World Philippines Charity 2022 Cassandra Chan. Chan shares, “What I love about Mr. and Ms. Chinatown Global is how it connects Chinese communities from all around the world through stories that feel modern yet deeply rooted in our heritage. It’s not just about beauty or competition — it’s about shared pride, creativity, and culture coming together on one global stage.”
Together, Cordoves’ mastery of pageantry and Chan’s dedicated role in guiding and supporting the aspiring candidates pave the way for a more global, purpose-driven chapter — building on a successful inaugural year that gathered candidates from the USA, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong as MMCG now sets its sights even higher as it expands its international reach and deepens its celebration of Chinese heritage and identity. “We wanted a stage that truly matches the global scale and cultural depth of this pageant, and Araneta Coliseum represents that,” said Cordoves who led the contract signing with CHiNOY TV President Alvin Kingson Tan, Uniprom Inc. Chief Operating Officer Irene Jose, Uniprom Inc. Marketing Manager Gines Enriquez, and Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) Secretariat Liliana Soriano as witness. Jose also expressed her excitement about the partnership, saying, “Smart Araneta Coliseum is one of the most iconic and sought-after venues in the Philippines. Since its opening in the 1960s, it has become the premier destination for world-class concerts. Smart Araneta Coliseum will serve as the perfect venue for Mr. & Ms. Chinatown Global Year 2.”
