TV5 is gearing up for its biggest year yet as 2026 will be a redefining year for the Kapatid network with a lineup of new series and programs slated to launch within the first half of the year set to change the game in the Philippine television scene. During the network's trade event held last November 25, 2025 entitled “The Kapatid VIBE: The TV5 Thanksgiving and 2026 Trade Launch” through some of its highlights posted on the social media pages of TV5, MQuest Ventures, and Mediabytes (Kapatid Insider), the network revealed a powerhouse roster of programs set to elevate and shake up the Filipino TV viewing experience like never before.
Vibe, the premier weekly live OPM countdown show, will continue to promote and showcase the best and freshest in the local music scene while acknowledging the hits and artists through the years of their prime that paved the way for the newfound rise in the industry while the Original Kantawan Game Show – Sing Galing – is set to return next year for a new season. On the other hand, the ongoing action-packed primetime drama series Totoy Bato is set to enter a new chapter with fresh twists and new characters bound to intensify its primetime presence. Trusted News5 shows, headlined by the Frontline brand of newscasts, and Face To Face Harapan are sure to continue delivering news, information, public service, and inspiration to viewing audiences of all ages. Headlining the event are the highly-anticipated series and programs, all produced by MQuest Ventures. These include:
• A Secret In Prague – A major comeback series starring Enrique Gil and Andrea Brillantes. The drama tells the story of Michael (Gil) searching for ways to have a better life, which eventually brings him to Prague, Czech Republic. He meets Kiara (Brillantes) where he hopes that things “would’ve ended differently”. However, their tearful reunion takes a turn for the worse as they suddenly aim their guns at each other. The confrontation abruptly ends after Kiara gets shot. Andrea shared, “They will see a lot of romance, there will be action. Sure akong mapapatawa kayo, mapapaiyak kayo and ayun, secret na lahat.” Enrique added, “I’ve been out on TV for a couple of years. So I think, its perfect time to comeback and what a way to comeback with Andrea.”
• The Kingdom: The Series – Based on the 2024 MMFF box-office and award-winning film, this adaptation brings together Sue Ramirez, Piolo Pascual, Christine Reyes, Ryza Cenon, and Derek Ramsey, marking his return to TV5. The series will take place at the formal ascension of Dayang Lualhati Nandula (Ramirez) as Queen of the Kingdom of Freedom following the death of her father Lakan Makisig Nandula (portrayed by Vic Sotto in the film) where her sister Dayang Matimyas Lualhati (Reyes) has plans to reclaim the throne from her sibling.
• The Good Doctor – The Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean medical drama featuring Iñigo Pascual, Gelli de Belen, Ryan Agoncillo, Dylan Menor, Pearl Gonzales, Mylene Dizon, Tony Labrusca, and more.
• Project Loki – A live-action take on the popular Wattpad thriller-mystery novel starring Dylan Menor, Jayda Avanzado and Marco Gallo.
• Magic Boys – A magical new series starring VIBE Jock boys Dylan Menor, Kych Minemoto and Joao Constancia with Gen Vs member Baileys.
• My Best Friend Emma – An inspiring series led by Ai-Ai Delas Alas, Shaina Magdayao, JM De Guzman, and Sid Lucero that tells the story of a married couple (De Guzman and Magdayao) ready to restart their lives after the husband was released from prison. However, their deaf daughter’s birthday ends in heartbreak after he decides to leave his family behind. Sometime later, the wife has seemingly found someone new (Lucero) although he poses a threat to their lives. Shaina expressed, “It’s my first time na makasama kayong lahat ngayong gabi, first time din ako napahiram. And so I’m really very excited… maraming salamat because TV5, has always been a partner.”
• TikTalks – The comeback of the commentary show with a louder, bolder stance hosted by Korina Sanchez, Alex Calleja, Pat Daza, G3 San Diego, and Rufa Mae Quinto.
• Artista Academy – The ultimate artista search returns, hosted by Julia Barreto. As announced on social media, auditions will be held on December 6 at Robinsons Galleria South, December 13 at Gaisano Grand City Gatemall, and December 21 at New Frontier Theater, respectively.
• Isayaw Mo – A dance reality show showcasing how Pinoys slay their dance moves.
TV5 Network Inc. President and CEO Guido R. Zaballero extended heartfelt gratitude to all solid viewers who continue to support the Kapatid network and assured viewers that 2026 will bring an even greater and more exciting lineup.
