Leading AI device ecosystem company HONOR has entered into a strategic technical collaboration with ARRI, the world-renowned designer and manufacturer of professional camera technology for cinematic storytelling. This landmark partnership marks a significant step in extending established cinematic standards into the rapidly evolving world of mobile imaging. By uniting HONOR’s advanced mobile imaging capabilities with ARRI’s century long heritage in defining cinematic image quality, the collaboration reflects a shared ambition to unlock new creative possibilities and extend cinematic standards for visual expression from the world of high-end filmmaking to the next generation of content creators.

“HONOR is pioneering a new era of mobile imaging, where technology exists to inspire creativity and storytelling. ARRI has defined the visual language of cinema for generations. Through this collaboration, we are bringing those cinematic standards and professional workflows into mobile imaging, enabling creators to craft stories with greater authenticity and emotional depth,” says HONOR CEO James Li. For more than a century, ARRI has helped shape how cinematic stories are told — from the early days of film to today’s most advanced digital camera systems. A commitment that’s been recognized with 20 Scientific and Technical Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. “Today, consumer smartphones have already become a serious tool in professional filmmaking, being used on blockbusters across the globe. That’s why we believe it is time to bring these worlds even closer together. For the first time ever, core elements of ARRI Image Science are being integrated directly into a consumer device,” says ARRI Managing Director David Bermbach. In cinema, image science is not a filter or an effect — it is the foundation of how an image is created. It determines how colors feel natural, how highlights and shadows are rendered, and how images consistently behave from capture to final screen. Drawing on ARRI’s Image Science foundation, the collaboration applies core cinematic imaging principles to HONOR’s mobile imaging architecture.

“Smartphones operate under fundamentally different constraints: smaller sensors, highly integrated SoCs, different optical stacks, and different bandwidth limits. The challenge is not to replicate cinema hardware, but to translate the underlying principles into compact, real-time mobile architectures. Our goal is to bring a true cinematic aesthetic to smartphone imaging — natural color, gentle highlight roll-off, and a sense of depth that feels authentic to how stories are meant to be seen. Creators should be able to move seamlessly from mobile capture into professional post-production workflows,” said ARRI Vice President Dr. Benedikt von Lindeiner who is responsible for the technical collaboration with HONOR. The first results of this collaboration will debut in the upcoming HONOR ROBOT PHONE later this year.

Setting The Stage For Change: MindNation And AKTOR Elevate Mental Health Support In Entertainment Industry

(Image Source: Orange Magazine TV/AKTOR — League Of Filipino Actors)

In a significant step toward strengthening mental health support in the local entertainment sector, AKTOR — League of Filipino Actors has formalized a partnership with MindNation to provide comprehensive, long-term mental health services to its members. The collaboration ensures AKTOR members will have access to confidential, evidence-based mental health support including 24/7 teletherapy sessions with licensed professionals, crisis support, and mental health education initiatives. The program also includes preventive tools such as mental health assessments, and well-being workshops.

“At AKTOR, we treasure partnerships with organizations that believe in our people as much as we do. We’re always inspired when we join forces with like-minded groups who understand that behind every performance is a human being who deserves care and support. Mental health has long been a quiet but constant concern in our community, and working with MindNation allows us to bring that conversation into the light. This partnership helps our actors stand stronger, not just as performers but as individuals, so they can continue creating with confidence and dignity as proud Filipino actors. Together, we’re building a culture where Filipino performers feel seen, supported, empowered, and proud, onscreen and off.” said AKTOR Chairman Dingdong Dantes. Beyond service delivery, the partnership is rooted in advocacy. MindNation and AKTOR aim to harness the influence and reach of the entertainment community to help normalize conversations around mental health. Through co-created campaigns, initiatives, and public engagements, the collaboration seeks to use the credibility and platform of respected industry voices to dismantle stigma, encourage early help-seeking behavior, and model responsible mental health practices. Echoing this commitment to proactive care, AKTOR President Iza Calzado-Wintle emphasized that mental well-being must be treated with the same urgency as physical health, stating, “Unlike many physical illnesses, mental health struggles are not always visible or measurable. A person may already be overwhelmed or close to breaking, and no one – not even they themselves – may recognize it. That is why we cannot afford to wait for a crisis before taking action. The goal is to keep our mental health strong and supported from the start. We need the right tools, resources, and safe spaces to do that. At AKTOR, we are deeply grateful for this partnership with MindNation. It allows us to provide our members with meaningful, proactive support so they can care for their well-being – not only as artists, but as individuals.”

For MindNation, the partnership underscores its commitment to destigmatizing mental health and making care accessible across all sectors, including the entertainment industry. MindNation Co-Founder and Chief Product and Data Officer Cat TriviƱo shared, “Mental health challenges are often invisible, yet they affect performance, relationships, and quality of life. Through this collaboration with AKTOR, we aim to normalize conversations around mental well-being, promote early help-seeking, and demonstrate that prioritizing mental health is a sign of strength, professionalism, and self-respect.”

Wemade’s Norse-themed MMORPG, Legend of YMIR, is set to deepen its connection with the Philippine community. Following its successful global launch on October 28, 2025, the title has maintained consistent growth worldwide. In a move to honor its most active player base, Wemade launched the ‘Manila’ city server last March 10, 2026 alongside a specialized content roadmap tailored specifically for Filipino users. To coincide with the launch, Wemade plans to ramp up localized support and marketing initiatives to enhance the gameplay experience for the region. Wemade is currently developing exclusive in-game elements featuring iconic Philippine symbols to provide a more familiar and engaging experience for local players. These include the new Disir ‘Bakunawa’, being designed based on the legendary sea serpent of Philippine mythology, crafted to embody the creature’s majestic and powerful presence, and ‘Solis’, a new companion modeled after the national bird of the Philippines, both in development. This addition aims to offer local players a unique sense of representation and high collectible value. Wemade is taking its engagement beyond the digital realm by hosting an offline community event in Manila which will serve as a platform for players to connect, share feedback, and celebrate their experiences together. Furthermore, Wemade plans to broaden its user touchpoints throughout the month through strategic marketing partnerships with various local partners in the Philippines.

A Wemade representative stated, “Through the previous YMIR Cup, we witnessed the incredible passion our players have for deep, achievement-oriented gameplay. The launch of the Manila server and the development of localized content are tokens of our gratitude for the immense support from the Philippines. As we look toward our 2026 Steam debut, we remain committed to delivering meaningful content and experiences for our global audience.” Further details regarding the update will be posted first on the Legend of YMIR Philippines Official Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/LegendofYMIRGL.ph

Customers who opted not to use plastic utensils for take-out or drive-thru orders from last February 27, now running, until March 27 are rewarded with incentives for future visits. Music fans enjoyed a lively appearance from Jollibee and Friends at the Coke Studio Concert at Melvin Jones Football Grounds last February 27. Festivalgoers are encouraged to share their Jollibee moments on social media using #JolliPanagbenga2026 for a chance to be featured on the brand’s official channels.
