MOONTON Games, the global video game company behind Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), recently announced the "Title Defender" mechanism for the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2027. The new framework grants the highest-performing teams from the previous MSC continued opportunities to compete on the international stage. The new mechanism represents a structural upgrade to the MSC's competitive format and aims to maintain the tournament's long-term vitality and competitive excellence. It also promotes regional diversity and representation — as MLBB eSports welcomes challengers from new regions into the Land of Dawn.
The "Title Defender" mechanism comprises two components: the Title Defender Direct Slot and the MSC Runner-Up Wild Card Slot. In the first component, the reigning MSC champion earns an automatic Main Stage berth at the next MSC with no regional qualifier required. This gives the MSC champion's region an additional slot on the Main Stage. Should the reigning champion secure a Main Stage position through their respective regional qualifiers, the direct slot will be passed to the next-seeded team from the same region. On the other hand, the runner-up of the most recent MSC will be granted a Wild Card or equivalent entry for the next edition, allocated through the existing Wild Card structure. This entry does not occupy a Main Stage slot. Should the runner-up qualify for the Main Stage through their regional qualifiers, the Wild Card slot will be passed to the next-seeded team from the same region. The Title Defender mechanism applies equally to all regions under the MSC's global tournament framework and will be applied at the MSC 2027. The rules and slot allocations for subsequent editions will be evaluated and adjusted based on the evolving competitive landscape.

The Pokémon Company International has officially announced the Pokémon Game On! initiative across Asia — in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. WEMADE announced that its global open-world MMORPG MIR4 has officially opened pre-registration for its new class, Spirit Summoner, as part of the game's global 5th anniversary celebration which will also feature various pre-registration events and special video content created to thank players who have supported MIR4 over the past five years. The celebration will be rolled out sequentially across major service regions including Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, and the Philippines.
The brand-new Spirit Summoner centers around Miho, the successor of a family that has long served closest to the Spirit King, who controls the Mirage Ship. Although she appears innocent, Miho possesses a contrasting personality beneath the surface, giving her a unique story and character unlike any existing class. The Spirit Summoner uses a Magic Wand as the main weapon and a Doll as the secondary weapon, allowing her to summon elemental spirits of Light, Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, Forest, and Darkness to fight in battle. By commanding summoned spirits, she delivers seamless, dynamic combat without interruption. Her wide-area elemental techniques also enable her to take on multiple enemies at once. Two Coveted World Stage Berths On The Line At Call Of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 Garena Qualifier

Ten elite teams are battling for a UD$20,000 prize pool and the chance to represent the Garena region in Mexico City for the Call Of Duty®: Mobile World Championship Finals on December 4-6, 2026. After Garena representatives ELEVATE and Stalwarts eSports finished second and third, respectively, at last year's World Championship in Katowice, Poland, this year's Garena Qualifier presents another opportunity for the region's top teams to build on strong performances at the World Championship.
The Garena Qualifier features 10 teams that qualified through premier regional competitions. These include Major Series 2026 (Indonesia) champion Vizualz eSports and runner-up EL Tantrum, Garena Masters 11 (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines) 1st runner-up Rival eSports and 3rd runner-up Vizualz SKAERI 2026 The Major Six – World Championship TW/HK/MO Qualifier (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau) champion ChangeWorld and runner-up WUDAO, LEGENDARY ALL-IN 2026 (Thailand) champion As soon As possible and runner-up Freeslot, and Garena Summer Invitational (GSI) 2026 champion ELEVATE and runner-up Alula SC. The Garena Qualifier features a three-stage format with teams battling through the Play-In Stage, Group Stage and Playoffs to secure one of just two World Championship berths. Vizualz SKAERI, and Freeslot have taken the final two Group Stage berths at the Play-In Stage last August 9, 2026 featuring a double-elimination Best-of-Five (Bo5) bracket. The qualifier continues with the Group Stage (August 13–23) where the eight remaining teams will compete in a single round-robin Bo5 format, with every team facing each opponent once. Only four teams will advance to the Playoffs (August 29–30) where they will battle in a double-elimination bracket, with all matches played as Bo5 except for the Best-of-Seven Grand Final. With no upper-bracket advantage, the championship will be decided in a single winner-takes-all series that determines the Garena's two representatives at the World Championship Finals.
While teams battle for a place on the world stage, players can also look forward to new in-game content with the arrival of Season 7 – Terminated, headlined by the highly anticipated Terminator 2: Judgment Day collaboration. Launched last August 6, Season 7 introduces a themed event and the supersized It Goes Two offer, bringing both the T-800 and T-1000 Terminator models into the game. Through the Terminator 2: Judgment Day themed event, players can complete daily tasks to earn Cyberdyne Tech and unlock more than 15 Epic-quality collaboration rewards, including weapon camos and the Blackjack — Endoskeleton Operator Skin. Meanwhile, the Terminator — It Goes Two offer gives players the chance to unlock both T-800 and T-1000 Operator Skins. Players who obtain both Operators will instantly upgrade them from Epic to Legendary quality and gain the ability to switch between their two forms both in-match and in the lobby. The event also features two Legendary Weapon Blueprints with reactive elements: HS0405 — Final Judgement and BP50 — Mimetic Execution. What's more, players on Garena servers can enjoy three exclusive in-game events inspired by regional supernatural folklore.
1. What The Haunt invites players to team up with friends and complete milestone missions to unlock Epic Vivian Harris, a puppet theatre-inspired Operator Skin influenced by traditional folklore.
