The Gentry Open 2026 is bringing together a growing network of private-sector partners as businesses from technology, personal care, hydration, finance, automotive and lifestyle sectors throw their support behind the development of Philippine tennis. For tournament founder and owner Hayb Anzures, the partnerships are more than commercial arrangements. They are part of a broader effort to create a stronger environment for athletes and help bring greater attention to tennis in the Philippines.
“We’re very excited to announce our partnerships with a lot of companies from the private sector that is really supporting the tennis community and the grassroots of tennis,” said Anzures during the tournament’s second official press conference. Among the major partnerships announced for the 2026 tournament is HONOR Philippines which has joined as the official presenter through the HONOR Magic V6. HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng said the partnership came together quickly after the company and Gentry Open recognized that they shared similar objectives, particularly in supporting athletes and promoting active lifestyles. Cheng also stressed that HONOR’s involvement will extend beyond simply putting its name behind the tournament. The company plans to provide prizes for tournament winners and use its technology to cover and create content around the competition. HONOR also sees the partnership as part of a wider sports-related initiative with Cheng noting that the company has been supporting various sporting and community activities.
Supporting Athletes Beyond Competition
The Gentry Open’s private-sector partnerships are also being directed toward the needs of players throughout the tournament. Beauty Elements Ventures, through its brands Kojie San, Defensil and Danara, has joined as the official personal-care and healthcare partner. Group Brand Manager Nana Borja said the partnership reflects the company’s belief in confidence, discipline, commitment and continuous self-improvement. The company wants to reinforce the idea that performing at one’s best also requires taking care of one’s health and personal well-being. Meanwhile, Philippine Bottling Beverages, through Cristalino Spring, has joined as the official hydration partner. General Manager Thor Mutuc emphasized that hydration is an essential part of athletic performance, particularly during an intense sport such as tennis. The company will provide hydration support for both athletes and fans throughout the competition. The tournament is also supported by the Palawan Group of Companies, Sky Warrior Philippines, and a roster of platinum, gold and special sponsors spanning different industries. The growing network of partners has allowed organizers to expand the support available to players including a satellite gym at the Colegio de San Agustin (CSA) Tennis Stadium in partnership with Harmonics Gym.
A Broader Role For Businesses In Tennis
The involvement of the private sector comes as Philippine tennis receives renewed attention following the international achievements of Alex Eala. Anzures said Eala’s success has helped demonstrate the potential of Filipino tennis players and encouraged greater interest among young athletes. For the Gentry Open, private-sector participation can help turn that increased attention into sustained support. Coach Yatharth Bharwadj of Sky Warrior Philippines described the relationship between Gentry Open and its partners as a long-term commitment to the tennis community. He said stronger partnerships can eventually help the tournament attract more international players, improve its affiliations and create opportunities for Filipino athletes to gain exposure to higher levels of competition. The organizers are already looking toward future collaborations including the possibility of working with international tennis organizations and bringing high-level players and coaches to the Philippines for clinics and training.
Giving Fans A Reason To Join The Tournament
The partners are also helping create a larger experience for spectators. The Gentry Open has announced a series of prizes for fans attending the tournament, including mobile phones, personal-care products, jewelry and a motorcycle. Anzures also announced a Rolex raffle connected to the finals. The giveaways add another dimension to the event while reflecting the scale of support behind the tournament. But for the organizers and partners, the larger objective remains the same: helping build a stronger tennis community. Honor Philippines’ Stephen Cheng said the company’s sports partnerships are part of its broader commitment to supporting people and communities while Beauty Elements Ventures emphasized athlete wellness and Cristalino Spring highlighted the importance of hydration and active living. Together, the partnerships demonstrate how businesses can contribute to Philippine sports not only through sponsorship but through services, resources and opportunities that directly benefit athletes and fans.
Returning for its explosive second edition and slated to be held on August 20-30, 2026, the Gentry Open is set to turn San Jose del Monte, Bulacan into a massive festival of tennis. Founded by entrepreneur and sports aficionado Hayb “Pareng Hayb” Anzures, the tournament has grown exponentially since its inception. The competition, with a massive Php3M (3 million pesos) prize pool featuring Php400,000 for the men’s singles champion and Php200,000 for the women’s winner, is headlined by prominent Davis Cup veterans such as AJ Lim and Francis Casey Alcantara alongside defending women’s champion Tenny Madis and top local netters like Vicente Anasta and Marian Capadocia and draws international delegates and players from countries like India and the United States to give local Filipino athletes high-level foreign exposure. With over 1,300 registered players spanning open singles, doubles, age-group, and junior divisions, the event aims to capitalize on the country’s booming tennis community — fueled further by the historic success of rising Philippine tennis prodigy Alex Eala.
