TV5 is leaning on nostalgia, familiar faces and new local dramas as it rolls out its wider programming lineup for the second half of 2026 during the network's “Tara, Kapatid!” Midyear Media And Trade Celebration last August 6, 2026 inside the MVP Studio in Mandaluyong City. Amidst a rainy afternoon, members of the press and advertising community were able to get an exclusive preview of what’s in store on the network with Kapatid stars taking turns onstage to talk about their shows, reveal what viewers can look forward to and, in some cases, show off their new looks. This includes the return of veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez-Roxas to a bigger role, a reunion of stars who defined late-1990s Philippine television, and several new primetime dramas.

The festivities kicked off with a highly energetic production number by Star Worx Block 1 artists Carmela Lorzano, Celyn David, Kaitlyn King, Keisha Serna, Marthena Jickain, Nathalie Apollo, Rahil Gatali, Selina Griffin, Steph Razon, Adam Buck, Amo Wilding, Chan Martin, Nico Matugas, Patrick Ballesteros, Spencer Capistrano and Wayne Leonard singing, dancing, and getting the crowd moving to a medley of Sumayaw Sumunod, Oh Na Na and Fendi 2. In his opening speech, TV5 Network Inc. President and CEO Guido Zaballero stated, “We are excited to share what’s next for TV5 and the stories we’ll be bringing to more Filipinos in the months ahead. In the first half of the year, we launched exciting new shows: A Secret In Prague and My Bespren Emman. Each connecting with the audiences in different ways — from mystery, comedy, and romance to a heartfelt way of storytelling. We also launched a revamped Face To Face With Ate Koring. Basically, refreshing the program with a lighter, more lifestyle thrust for a new generation of viewers.” Zaballero also highlighted the value of the network’s renewed partnership with ABS-CBN which he said would give more Filipinos access to TV5’s growing lineup of programs, stressing, “This year, also, reaffirmed the power of collaboration with a renewed partnership with ABS-CBN. Thus, allowing more and more Filipinos to discover TV5 content while opening opportunities for audiences to enjoy even more great Filipino stories para sa mga Kapatid at Kapamilya. Our partnership is built on a simple shared belief that when great stories reach more people, everyone benefits. Our creators, our advertisers and our partners, and ultimately, the whole industry.” Zaballero further noted that the network’s mission, as they continue to grow, is to “bring great Filipino stories to more Filipinos, wherever they are.” Headlining the new slate is “Mommy Guard”, a new series that brings together Marvin Agustin, Jolina Magdangal and Dominic Ochoa nearly three decades after they first became household names through projects including “Gimik” and the hit film “Hey Babe!” The series, which premieres in September, will be joined by Roxanne Guinoo and Star Worx artists Cedrick Juan, Nathalie Apollo, and Amo Wilding under the direction of Roman Perez Jr. Meanwhile, the early weekday morning news and magazine program “Gud Morning Kapatid” has officially introduced their show’s new chapter as “Frontline Sa Umaga”, airing weekdays at 5:30-8:00 am and hosted by veteran broadcaster Ed Lingao, Angela Lagunzad-Castro, Dimples Romana, Andrei Felix, Maoui David, Chiqui Roa-Puno, Tito Alvin Oura, and Doc Richard Gadiaza, which promises to blend hard-hitting news and relevant information with human-interest stories and lifestyle features, offering viewers a more rounded way to start their mornings.

The weekday late morning talk and public service program “Face To Face With Ate Koring”, a revamped version of the “Face To Face” brand which was once known for the explosive confrontations occurred every episode, continues to spotlight inspiring stories, extraordinary children, celebrities and trending topics that people can learn from while tackling relevant issues affecting daily life, now reaching more Filipino viewers through TV5, Kapamilya Channel, ALLTV2, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWant. Aside from “Face To Face With Ate Koring”, Sanchez-Roxas took the stage to surprise guests with the announcement of the impending return of “Rated Korina”. Currently airing on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, ALLTV2, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWant and coming soon to TV5 anew every Sunday at 3:30 pm, the return of the weekly news magazine program rightfully coincides with Sanchez-Roxas' 30th anniversary in the said genre which began with “Balitang K” in 1996 and “Rated K” in 2004, both aired on ABS-CBN. The Kapatid network also expressed pride “Vibe Plus”, now celebrating its first year anniversary. Created and conceptualized by Peter Edward Dizon and directed by Johnny Manahan, the musical show features live performances from some of the country’s top performers and spotlights the present, past, and future of Original Philippine Music (OPM). Its hosts — Dylan Menor, Ana Ramsay, Carmela Lorzano, Queenay, Joao Constancia, Ryle Santiago and Gigi de Lana — have helped give the program its youthful and energetic personality. Hosted by “Frontline Sa Umaga” hosts Dimples Romana and Andrei Felix, among those present at the network's midyear trade launch event aside from Sanchez-Roxas were Andrea Brillantes from A Secret In Prague as Chiara Valtrovi with Star Worx artists Cedrick Juan, Mark Ian, Monique Vasquez, and Jericho del Rosario and My Bespren Emman main stars Shaina Magdayao (Ruth) and JM de Guzman (Mateo) and co-stars Zion Cruz and Yasmyne Jill.

Through this new programming slate with more to come in the coming months, TV5 signals that its next chapter will be defined by stronger programming, renewed partnerships, and a lineup that brings together established stars, rising talents and stories designed to reach an even wider audience. As Zaballero put it, the network’s commitment goes beyond traditional television: “Across television, digital, or wherever audiences choose to watch, we’re committed to telling stories that inspire, entertain, inform and connect.” TV5 is always making sure there will be plenty to watch and plenty of reasons for viewers to keep tuning in, wherever they choose to watch — something that every Filipino viewer should look forward to all throughout the rest of 2026.
