Apart from international brands such as Samsung, Huawei and OPPO, local brands are also keen in bringing and delivering their own sleuth of mobile marvels with specs and features that literally cater to the growing digital lifestyle needs of consumers in the Philippine market throughout the summer. And this year is no exception as new marvels were being introduced to the delight of those who want to have their own smartphone. Here are just some of the few that are currently or even yet to be available in a dealer near you.

Cherry Mobile officially launched its series of midrange dual-camera smartphones running under Android 7.0 Nougat OS named Desire, and the R8 is a prime example of what the Desire series can offer not just for budget-friendly consumers but also for selfie-centric addicts as well. The Desire R8 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 13 megapixel + 8 megapixel dual rear cameras, and 3000 mAh long-lasting battery life. Inside the hood is a 1.5 GHz Mediatek octa core processor coupled with Mali T860 graphics,3 GB of RM and 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card. The happy man has added Up Prime to its portfolio of highly-engaging but very affordable mobile devices that can be availed nationwide. The new smartphone is poised for students and young professionals who want to stay on top of their tasks and connect to their loved ones at the same time. The 4G LTE capable quad core marvel runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, sports a 2.5D curved screen, has 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel cameras for taking brilliantly good photos, and 16 GB of internal storage if you have room for more. Honestly, I think that MyPhone's recent lineup of digital TV-capable Android smartphones are pretty much identical in many ways but what makes the recently-released my91 DTV unique is its rotating rear camera. Released earlier this year, the my91 smartphone just had its price tag cut. Now, any smartphone lover can purchase it for just about Php3,000. Believe me, its specs can pretty suit what you want for a device. Anyway, I can't talk more about this smartphone because like I said, the proudly Pinoy brand's new lineup is basically alike.
