Watching shows and movies on their television sets in the comforts of home is considered as one of every Filipino family's bonding moments, and the ongoing advent and evolution of technology and the rise of digital media bring the television experience to different and unimaginative worlds that they can enjoy even without going outside.

Skyworth and Toshiba recently introduced its newest lineup of Ultra High Definition and OLED smart TVs that are set to make the experience possible for Filipino consumers. This new line is geared with features that can elevate the home viewing experience which includes the use of IPS technology, MPEG and digital noise reduction for the improvement of picture quality, and Dolby + DTS sound among others.

And since they are smart TVs, tech-savvy users will enjoy a full suite of enjoyable entertainment considering that they are powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS granting them access to thousands of apps and games via Google Play Store. Another intriguing feature to the lineup is the Voice Command function where users can make use of the bundled microphone for further access, as well as an Android TV controller app where they can use their mobile devices to control their own viewing experience.

PLDT Home, the home broadband brand of the Philippines' largest telecommunications company, recently introduced the newest iteration of its TVolution streaming box now powered by Roku which is set to take television viewing to the next level with more worlds of entertainment to offer.

The all-in-one, plug-and-play streaming box is loaded with on-demand titles from iflix and Netflix, high-definition TV channels powered by Cignal, free content from Youtube, and more than 100 streaming channels all in one convenient screen. This means that Filipino families may not need to switch between multiple boxes just to enjoy their own choices of entertainment.

Existing PLDT Home Fibr subscribers will be the first ones to experience more worlds delivered by the new Roku-powered TVolution for only an additional Php199 per month that comes with the device. The best thing about it is that subscribers may not worry about additional charges or a contract as they can choose from a wide range of free or paid content from different streaming services in different parts of the world.
