Streamwatch: Globe's Own Roku-Powered Chromecast

Globe Telecom has officially announced its partnership with global online streaming service Roku which allows the former to leverage the ladder's streaming platform leading to the launch of the Globe StreamWatch in the Philippines.

StreamWatch may be considered as Globe's own Chromecast because it can stream content from Netflix, Disney, HOOQ, Fox+ and Youtube and has more than 100 free channels and more which can be availed at the Roku Store. An internet connection is needed in order to make StreamWatch work. To use Globe Streamwatch, users need to plug the device to an LED or LCD TV's HDMI port, connect to the internet and it is ready for long entertaining goodness. The player's dedicated remote can eventually make the setup process easier provided that you know what you want.

Anyway, the Globe StreamWatch will become available in Globe Stores nationwide starting November 2017. The device is initially priced at Php999 when it retails on its own while Globe At Home users may add Php50 to their plan to get the device. Getting a StreamWatch entitles the user to three months of free subscription to HOOQ, Disney and soon Fox+.
