The
Cinema One Originals has been one of the much-awaited events showcasing the future
of Philippine cinema probably due to its uniquely interesting theme every year.
This year may be no different than the previous editions, but it is intriguing
to learn that this year's premise is all about being fearless.
Well,
fearless may be a simple expression but it has a seriously deeper meaning when
it comes to Philippine cinema as a whole. For Cinema One Originals 2017, the
word fearless does not only exemplify that the event is embracing the changing
face and attitudes in cinema with a deeper sense in its history and new modes.
It also embraces the way it indeavors to ride the changes and moving forward to
its brighter future; thus bringing the co-existence of old and new platforms
and the convergence of new and old audiences to new heights.
