Roasted
chicken has truly become a new favorite for Filipinos and literally a staple in
every Filipino family's pastime on either dinner and even during holidays,
especially when it is Christmas.
Wherever
you go around downtown or uptown, you may always find stores selling roasted chicken
at convincing prices. Believe it or not, you may also see people lining up at
such stores just to purchase a roast as dinner for them and their loved ones. Before
I forget and move on, Filipinos considered roasted chicken as litson manok to their own understanding.
And
it all started with Chooks-to-Go, a flagship brand of Bounty Agro Ventures.
With over 1,300 stores in different parts of the country offering a wide
variety of food choices, the brand brings quality and affordable roasted
chicken to every Filipino household and drives the take-home dinner to national
consciousness. But like other companies, Chooks-to-Go is beyond its own usual staple
as it has its own advocacies and social responsibilities projects that empowers
every Filipino the brand is committed to support.
In
fact, in 2014, Chooks-to-Go donated fiberglass boats to sustain the livelihood
of fishermen in Samar and Leyte who were affected by supertyphoon Yolanda. It has
also conducted poultry training sessions among Patikul, Sulu and even extended support
to various indigenous people communities across the nation. But what makes
Chooks-to-Go is known for aside from offering roasted chicken is its unwavering
support for the Philippines' most popular sport and that would no less than basketball.
