Residents in the province of Batangas will now start experiencing a new way of watching their favorite shows on television with the arrival of the ABS-CBN TV Plus, the first commercially-released digital terrestrial television service in the Philippines, which would eventually mark the start of digital TV broadcasts in the province where they are slated to become fully implemented across the country by 2023.

With over six million units sold and counting, ABS-CBN TV Plus is the first in the country to provide clear picture quality and crisp sounds on any television set as well as exclusive channels that cater to the viewing demands of every member of the Filipino household. It is also the first to feature an Emergency Warning Broadcast System (EWBS) that notifies users of severe weather updates and disaster alerts. The province of Batangas is the 16th area that is now covered by ABS-CBN's digital TV signals which included Mega Manila, several parts of Northern and Central Luzon, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao and Cagayan de Oro among others.

ABS-CBN's digital TV signals were successfully activated in a press launch that took place inside the Lipa City Youth and Cultural Center on November 10, 2018. On the other hand, hundreds of young and old spectators were able to try out booths featuring some of the exclusive channels available on ABS-CBN TV Plus and kalokalikes of Robin Padilla and the late Rene Requiestas were there to entertain and mingle with them. The one-day affair culminated with a special show at night featuring Tawag ng Tanghalan singers, Hashtags (McCoy, CK, Maru, Rayt) and Kapamilya leading man Richard Gutierrez.

Aside from free-to-air channels ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN S+A, BatangueƱos can indulge on a whole day filled with action, fantasy, comedy, drama and fun with CineMo, the first all-day movie channel on digital free TV. Heck, their kids can even have fun watching the likes of Spongebob Squarepants, Mr. Bean, Naruto, Digimon, and more on free TV's only kids channel Yey. There is also DZMM Teleradyo where they can get more from the latest news happening in the country and Knowledge Channel if they want their kids to go beyond tutoring. And if these are not enough, then have a weekend family bonding at home with Kapamilya Box Office (KBO) featuring local blockbuster hits, fresh from the cinemas, live sporting events, TV specials and more for just Php30.

The ABS-CBN TV Plus is available in Batangas City, Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balayan, Bauan, Calaca, Calatagan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lemery, Lipa City, Mabini, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Sta. Teresita, Taal, Taysan, Tuy, and parts of Quezon province for a very affordable price of Php1,499.00.
