Gaming enthusiasts and spectators were treated to a showcase of Filipino gaming prowess at the 2019 Taiwan Excellence eSports Cup held last October 4 and 5, 2019 at SM City North EDSA which showcased how Filipino gamers and the likes of Taiwan Excellence can elevate the local eSports scene. With more Filipinos getting into professional gaming and streaming, Taiwan Excellence promises to strengthen its commitment to support aspiring eSports athletes and budding enthusiasts by making its sleuth of the latest and most advanced gaming devices and products more accessible to Filipino consumers. 

Headlining the 2019 Taiwan Excellence eSports Cup was various professional gaming tournaments featuring Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and League of Legends (LoL) with teams participating for pride, glory and the purpose of getting a slice of the Php430,000 prize pool. The winner of the CS:GO tournament will represent the Philippines in an upcoming international professional gaming competition to be held in Taiwan where they will face other Taiwan Excellence eSports Cup winners from Malaysia, Thailand and India. Aside from the tournament, spectators were also treated to a showcase of gaming devices and products from Taiwan through various brand booths.

Among the products displayed throughout the weekend affair were ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Strix Scar III G531, ASUS ROG Strix G G731GV, ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DV and ASUS ROG Zephyrus M; Gigabyte's Z390 Aorus Motherforce Xtreme motherboard, Aorus memory cards and peripherals, AVerMedia's plug-and-play AM310 USB microphone, InWin's WINBOT Limited Edition Transparent Spherical case and Kingmax's Serriconductor. Also on display were memory cards and external portable storage drives from Transcend and T-Force, Zyxel's tri-band WiFi system and an array of peripherals from XPG, Zadak and G.Skill.

There was also a cosplay competition that celebrated Filipino creativity and ingenuity and various booths where enthusiasts and spectators have gotten to try a handful of Taiwan's gaming deuces and activities. With these on hand, the 2019 Taiwan Excellence eSports Cup has proven to be a viability in the Philippines as a rapidly growing market for professional gaming. The 2019 Taiwan Excellence eSports Cup was organized by the Republic of Taiwan's Bureau of Foreign Trade and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAIRA) in partnership with ASUS Republic of Gamers, Aorus, AVerMedia, InWin, Kingmax, Transcend, T-Force, Zyxel, XPG, Zadak and G.Skill.
