NBA, PH Telcos Bring League Pass Further To PH Fans

The National Basketball Association (NBA) officially announced an extension of its existing partnerships with the Philippines' leading telecommunications and digital services providers - PLDT, Smart Communications and Globe Telecom - to bring its premium live and on-demand game subscription service, the NBA League Pass, to more than 213 million mobile and broadband subscribers in the country. 

PLDT Home, Smart and Globe Telecom subscribers can avail of any of the League Pass, Team Choice or 3-Game Choice packages in monthly subscription pricing options starting at Php85 as well as a weekly pricing offer for the League Pass package. For streaming live games on mobile devices, Globe subscribers can register to their preferred video streaming package by texting GoWATCH29, GoWATCH99 or GoWATCH299 and sending it to 8080 while Smart subscribers may dial *123# on their smartphone and choose GIGA VIDEO.

With this expanded new partnership between the leagues and the local telcos, NBA League Pass will continue to provide Filipino basketball buffs with the most comprehensive live and on-demand access to a season filled with exciting and action-packed NBA games in high-definition with live stats and multiple viewing options such as the NBA Mobile View which delivers a closer shot at the action optimized for viewing on mobile phones, tablets and connected devices. Team Choice allows fans of their favorite NBA team to enjoy playing the team's scheduled games all throughout the season while 3-Game Choice enables users to watch up to three NBA games per month.

In addition, headlined by the flagship program NBA GameTime, NBA League Pass also features exclusive NBA TV programming including the following new shows:

* The Warmup - Hosted by Stephanie Ready and Chris Miles, the daily show offers the latest news, on-site reports, trending social media topics and fantasy updates prior to tip-off and features a roster of leading analysts including Gary Payton, Grant Hill, Isaiah Thomas, Candace Parker and Sekou Smith.
* #Handles on NBA TV will provide an innovative, social driven experience that will see hosts Tas Melas and 13-year NBA veteran Channing Frye engages with fans via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and recap the night's top highlights and storylines.
* The List - Led by Jared Greenberg and Steve Smith, the half-hour show is intended to inspire conversation and celebrate some of the most popular players, teams, moments and achievements throughout the Association's history.

Globe subscribers can visit the telco's official online store on Lazada and Shopee and subscribe to any of the select NBA League Pass offers available. Fans may access NBA League Pass on the go via the NBA app available to download for free on Google Play and Apple App Store. They can also enjoy looking at official game highlights, scores, stats, team standings and schedules among other key features on the NBA app. Select 2019-2020 NBA regular season games can be livestreamed for free every Monday and Thursday on Facebook via Facebook Watch and Twitter while a new television deal for NBA in the Philippines is yet to be announced.
