With the Trabahanap website, Filipinos are just a click away from the jobs that fit them. According to Trabahanap and Cinemo channel head Mark Awiten, applying for a job is made easier since one does not need to 'walk-in' to be interviewed by the employer and there are jobs available that can match an applicant's skills and desired position. Among the website's features is its geolocation capability where users can find jobs near their home. They can set the distance of their search to either 3, 5, 10 or 15 kilometers.
"We believe that helping Filipinos find jobs is a just as important as giving them the chance to spend more time with their families," said Awiten. A place of work that is close to home also means that workers can be less stressed with commuting and have more money saved from using and relying on public transportation. Awiten added that workers can use their savings from daily commuting for other expenses. Jobseekers need to register and create an account at www.trabahanap.com to start using the service.
Trabahanap will join various job fairs and local employment activities across the country to provide access to job opportunities to those without an Internet connection. Cinemo, the first all-day movie channel on digital free TV, will continue to air job postings at the end of every program aired on the channel. The public is encouraged to watch Cinemo on their ABS-CBN TV Plus digibox and follow Trabahanap on its official Facebook page for announcements on job fairs included in ABS-CBN's SorpreSaya Truck tours.
