Aimed to bringing together entertaining stories designed to spark one's imagination, CONNECT is established with a mission to set the standard for delivering multi-genre entertainment content in the podcasting space and hopes to achieve it through quality podcast entertainment that can delight both listeners and audiences alike. So far, it seems that the Filipino-based start-up company has connected with the niche audiences its shows are designed for. And since podcasts are the easiest content to consume, CONNECT is firming up more content in the foreseeable future to strengthen its stance as a podcast platform that not only showcases the creativity of Filipino talents, but also intimately tell stories through podcasting.
Among the podcasts delved by listeners and online audiences is Loop Me In hosted by Juls Rodriguez. Aimed at those who are looking for job and career opportunities, Loop Me In tackles career essentials in the modern employment landscape including job search tips, success stories, interview tricks, work-from-home (WFH) hacks and everything in between. Then there is Digestibles, a book podcast designed to help complement the current school set-up that has shifted to online learning for the next school year. Hosted by voice actress Gabby Pascua, the series breaks down classic literature - from Shakespeare to mythology, to pretty much all the books one is told to read at school but eventually couldn't - and serves all the good bits that is literally digestible for either a refresher, a study guide or a simple trick to make one look smarter.
Last July 25, CONNECT launched Quaranthing, a narrative vodcast (video podcast) series featuring fictional stories that have emerged during the lockdown and kicking off the said series is "Love Me Hater" under the direction of none other than award-winning independent filmmaker Siege Ledesma ("Shift"). Headlined by celebrated theater actors Bibo Reyes and Gab Pangilinan, "Love Me Hater" revolves around James Jimenez, a cocky blogger and film school graduate who gets a taste of his medicine when an enraged drama series head writer Marga Meneses heckles and challenges him to a spontaneous debate during one of his live episodes. Since the beginning up until its final episode released last August 15, "Love Me Hater" gained a strong solid following. Those who are yet to discover what the series is all about can catch all of its episodes at www.YouTube.com/CONNECTpodcasts.
