GCash, the Philippines’ number one financial super app, can now be used to pay for bookings at various leading transportation companies to make traveling safe and convenient in various destinations – whether it be domestic, international, or even just within certain locales. “With travel now almost in full swing, we want to make every Filipino traveler’s trip fun, safe, and worry-free by offering a cashless payment option with a wide variety of partner transportation companies,” shared GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon.
GCash is now a convenient and seamless payment option for travelers whether they’re traveling by land, sea, or air. For airplane tickets, GCash can be used to pay for booking of flights at the Philippine Airlines, AirAsia and Cebu Pacific websites while payments via QR are also available for both PAL and AirAsia. On land, paying bus tickets can now be done via GCash through any of its bus line partners. Users can purchase Victory Liner tickets on their website with GCash. Travelers can also pay via GCash QR for their bus tickets in Pangasinan Five Star and Bataan Transit. GCash QR payments are also available via Easybus PH for DLTB, Ohayami, and Alps; and GLife via beep for BGC Bus, Precious Grace Trans, TAS, and San Agustin. GLife is an e-commerce one-stop shop on the GCash app.
Travelers can also maximize their out-of-town trips as they travel from one island to another with Topline Marina which allows QR payments via Beep. They can also go around Boracay with modern tricycles operated by Gerweiss Motors and pay by scanning QR codes with GCash. To allow more travelers to conveniently and safely book transportation services on their mobile phones, GCash is also working to add more partner transport companies in the future.
Don’t have GCash yet? You can download the GCash app for free on the Google Play Store for Android, the App Store for iPhone and iPad users, or Huawei Gallery. Funding a GCash account is easy and can be done through multiple cash-in kiosks in partner stores across different parts of the country like Globe Stores, Ministop, 7-Eleven, Alfamart, and Villarica Pawnshop as well as major supermarkets nationwide including Puregold, Robinsons Supermarkets and SM Markets.
