August 4, 2024 was a night filled with limitless music and sparking innovation as the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena hosted the Acer Day 2024 concert featuring spectacular performances by Acer ambassadors SB19, Sandara Park, and G22 as well as Cup Of Joe, TJ Monterde, Ebe Dancel, and Rico Blanco. More than 20,000 people were able to attend and enjoy the concert, both in person and via a Facebook livestream, as part of Acer Day 2024 celebration which is a celebration and affirmation of Acer's core values and, at the same time, a way for the brand to show customers its latest products designed to improve user experiences and unlock previously untapped potential to do more.
Now on its eighth year with the theme "AI'm Limitless", Acer Day aims to inspire people to push their limits and discover new user experiences with Acer's extensive line of PCs and lifestyle products available in the Philippines and different parts of the globe. According to Acer's President of Pan-Asia Pacific Regional Operations Andrew Hou, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a major influence in people’s lives, expanding creativity and imagination. The tech company recognizes these changes and is committed to providing tools to explore limitless possibilities and bring ideas to life. “As Acer continues to transition into a lifestyle brand, it is dedicated to enriching everyday experiences through innovative technology. This year’s celebration aims to highlight how Acer’s AI-powered products elevate users’ experiences and unlock boundless opportunities for creativity and achievements,” said Hou. "Acer Day helps connect us with our customers through music and different activities that allow them to try the products which provide tools that enable individuals to explore limitless possibilities and bring their ideas to life," said Acer Philippines Managing Director Sue Ong Lim.
Pop/alternative band Cup Of Joe opened the show with "Wag Na Lang" followed by its hit songs "Tingin" and "Estranghero". Next up was singer-songwriter TJ Monterde who wowed the crowd with "Mahika", "Tulad Mo" and "Palagi". Multi-awarded singer-songwriter and OPM icon Ebe Dancel wowed the crowd with his hits “Hari ng Sablay", "Makita Kang Muli", “Wag Kang Umiyak" and “Bawat Daan". Dancel recalled that during the pandemic when there were no gigs for artists like himself, it was Acer who first reached out to him to sing for some of the company's executives and employees at a very small venue. Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and OPM rockstar Rico Blanco kept the energy going with "Antukin, "Umaaraw Umuulan", "Your Universe", "Kisapmata" and "You'll Be Safe Here." International superstar and Filipino favorite Sandara Park and G22 took to the stage for a never-before-seen stage of "In Or Out". Finally, it was Dara and SB19 for "Reset", a song they collaborated on for Acer in 2023. The "Female Alphas of P-Pop" G22 were next with their songs "Boomerang", "Bang", "One Sided Love" and "Loka". Sandara, whose group 2NE1 is reuniting, kept the positive vibes and upbeat mood going "Dara Dara", "I Don't Care" and "I'm the Best+Can't Nobody". SB19, on the other hand, proved why they are called the "Kings of P-Pop" with "Gento", "Hanggang sa Huli" and "Crimzone". SB19 also performed an recently released song titled "Kalakal" with rapper Gloc 9. Capping out such an overwhelmingly spectacular night was SB19 and G22 performing "Limitless", the theme song of Acer Day 2024 composed by SB19 leader and The Voice Kids Philippines coach Pablo embodying boundless possibilities. The two groups proved that they, like Acer, are limitless in what they can do.
Ahead of the Acer Day 2024 concert, Acer kicked off the celebration with the release of the official video and Acer Ambassadors Mission videos on Acer’s social media channels. The event will start on Aug. 3 across the PAP Region with local celebrations. In addition to the concert, SB19 and G22 have teamed up for the “Acer U: Charged to Lead” Back-To-School promo, offering discounts on the latest Acer tech and the best athletic gear from Under Armour. Patrons were able to save up to Php10,000 and get an Under Armour voucher worth up to Php14,000 for every purchase of a participating Acer product by registering the product for warranty via warranty.acer.com.ph. The promo recently concluded last August 18, 2024. "The concert and all the Acer Day activities showcase Acer's AI-powered range of products which will not only elevate user experiences but also open limitless opportunities," said Acer Philippines Senior Marketing Manager Princess Laosantos.
