The Bacoor City Strikers officially entered the fast-growing world of pickleball as the team formally signed its player contracts during a ceremony held last August 19, 2026 at the Bacoor Government Center's Revilla Hall.Led by Team Owner Mayor Strike B. Revilla, the contract signing marked Bacoor City’s strong commitment to sports development and its support for athletes who will carry the city’s name, pride, and fighting spirit into the competitive pickleball scene.
Vice Mayor Rowen Bautista Mendiola and Councilor Karen Evaristo joined Mayor Revilla in witnessing and supporting the formal signing of the Strikers’ players. The Strikers’ Main Players (Team A) are Ricarte Santos, Vince EJ J. Tugade, Christy S. Sanosa, and Princess Lorben Marie A. Catindig. Joining them as Second Picks (Team B) are Laurenz C. Quitara, Kent A. Octavo, Elise Marie A. Geluz, Leykie Lei S. Sanosa, and Claro Castillo. Guiding the team is Head Coach and Team Captain Herbert Legaspi with Coaches Enriq Enriquez and Felix Abellanosa and Assistant Coaches Emil Vince Capulong and Elijah Raquiza providing technical guidance, leadership, and support as the team prepares for competition. As Team Owner, Mayor Strike reaffirmed his full support and commitment to the Bacoor City Strikers, emphasizing the importance of creating opportunities for athletes to compete, develop their skills, and represent Bacoor with pride, stating, “Pickleball is rapidly gaining popularity, and Bacoor is ready to be part of that movement. We want the Bacoor Strikers to be a team that our people can be proud of, one that represents the talent, determination, and fighting spirit of Bacooreños.” The team is managed by Co-Owner and Team Manager Dennis Abella who will oversee its management and operational direction, and will have the strong backing of Megawide as Major Sponsor whose support strengthens the team as it begins its competitive journey.
The formation of the Bacoor Strikers reflects the city’s broader commitment to sports as a platform for promoting active lifestyles, developing local talent, strengthening community pride, and bringing people together through healthy competition. With a talented roster, dedicated coaching staff, committed leadership, and strong support from the city and its major sponsor, the Bacoor City Strikers are ready to make their mark in the country’s growing pickleball community.
