The National Basketball Association (NBA) recently announced that NBA champion and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer member Jason Kidd and WNBA champion Lauren Jackson will headline the first NBA House Philippines 2026 presented by Gatorade, a free, immersive basketball experience and fan event at SPACE at One Ayala in Makati City on August 29-30, 2026.

Operated by Eventscape Manila, NBA House Philippines 2026 presented by Gatorade will feature 2,700 square meters of interactive basketball and pop culture activities for fans of all ages. “NBA House Philippines presented by Gatorade will be a celebration of basketball, entertainment and music, featuring an exciting lineup of NBA and WNBA legends, local artists and authentic NBA experiences. A 6’5” point guard, Kidd was drafted 2nd overall in the 1994 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks and went on to become the NBA co-Rookie of the Year. Kidd helped lead the Mavericks to an NBA championship in 2011, the first NBA title in the franchise’s history. Across 19 seasons, he earned 10 NBA All-Star selections, six All-NBA Team selections, nine NBA All-Defensive Team selections, five assist titles, and was named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team. Kidd has also served as a head coach for 10 seasons, having coached the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Mavericks, as well as two seasons as an assistant coach with the Lakers. Kidd was inducted twice into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame: in 2018 for his individual career and in 2025 as a member of the 2008 USA Men’s National Team. Jackson was selected 1st overall in the 2001 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm where she went on to win the WNBA championship in 2004 and 2010. During her 12-year WNBA career, she earned a WNBA Finals MVP Award, three WNBA MVP Awards, eight All-WNBA Team selections, five All-WNBA Defensive Team selections, seven WNBA All-Star selections, three scoring titles and one rebounding title, a WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award and selections to the WNBA’s 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th Anniversary Teams. As a member of the Australia Women’s National Team, she earned three silver medals (2000, 2004 and 2008) and two bronze medals (2012 and 2024) in the Olympics. She was inducted into the Australian Basketball Hall of Fame (2019), the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame (2020) and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame (2021).
