The first ever Mobile Legends Bang Bang World Championship, Mobile
Legends Bang Bang 2.0 and Mobile Legends Adventure were some of the exciting
news and surprises that were announced during the MOONTON Epicon 2019: The
Future Begins Global Conference held last July 18, 2019 at the Connexion
Conference and Event Centre, Nexus, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conference was
graced by attendees from different countries around the world including the
Philippines and is considered a celebration of the continuing global success of
Mobile Legends Bang Bang which was among the most popular in many nations.
Known as M1, the first ever MLBB World Championship will take place at the
Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 11-17, 2019 with sixteen
teams from 14 countries fighting for the glory of becoming the best Mobile
Legends team in the world with a prize pool of US$250,000 at stake. The Malaysian
contingent led by Minister of Youth and Sports Syed Saddiq bin Syed Abdul Rahman
and eSports Malaysia president Dato Anath S. Nathan welcomed the announcement
considering that the event is a remarkable milestone that would further enhance
the country's position as an eSports powerhouse attracting the most talented
gamers across the globe.
On the other hand, the announcement of Mobile Legends Bang Bang 2.0 was
highly regarded as one of the event's biggest highlights as it was welcomed by
a raucously overwhelming reception. The new update will feature a sleek new
game interface, an upgraded map, increased FPS and reduced AFK and lag that are
slated to improve user experience with faster loading and start-up and high
definition character modelling as well as a new band of heroes to brandish.
Meanwhile, Mobile Legends Adventure is an idle RPG strategy game designed for
quick casual play. Optimized for minimal internet requirement and low storage
consumption, the highly-anticipated sequel to MLBB pits players commanding up
to five heroes at a time in positional battles, using their wits to organize

ONE Championship, the largest global sports media property in Asian
history, has announced the official launch of the largest eSports world
championship series in the region with the first confirmed events of ONE
eSports' 2019-2020 season. In addition, former Battlefy Chief Operating Officer
and Univision Senior Vice-President of Corporate Business Development Carlos Alimurung
has been named ONE eSports CEO and will be responsible for designing the
brand's vision and strategy, setting the company's goals and supporting the team
to execute and deliver.
ONE eSports is set to kick off its inaugural season in Tokyo, Japan on
October 5 and 6, 2019 with the staging of the ONE TEKKEN Tokyo Invitational and
the ONE Street Fighter Tokyo Challenge as part of ONE Championship's
commemorative activities for its upcoming 100th event on October 13th dubbed
ONE: Century. Each tournament will give members of the fighting games community
the opportunity to take on the nine top ranked fighting game professionals in a

For the first time, eSports will make its debut in the 2019 Southeast
Asian Games as an official medal sport and the Philippines is proud to announce
the launch of a new national team that will represent not just the country but the
local professional gaming community as well in the biennial regional spectacle.
And it will be named Sibol which stands for the undaunting growth and progress
of professional gaming in our local shores.
The launch of Sibol comes with the introduction of its new logo which
bears the sparkling blaze of local professional gamers striving to make their
own impact in the international stage with dedication, perseverance, resiliency,
teamwork and sportsmanship in their hearts. Several players from renouned local
eSports teams such as TNC, FNATIC, Mineski, Playbook eSports, Cignal Ultra and Bren
eSports were given a direct invitation and are slated to take part in the
national team's training pool.
On the other hand, the remaining slots for the Sibol training pool will
be open to aspiring professional gamers from different parts of the country who
want to be part of history and compete against some of the best players in
Southeast Asia and it will be done through a series of open tryouts which is
set to begin this month. From the results of the training pool, the chosen few will
become part of the national team and are vying to compete in six eSports titles
officially chosen by the Philippine SEA Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC)
namely DOTA 2, StarCraft 2, Tekken 7, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Arena of Valor
and Hearthstone.
