For The Health And Safety Of Employees
PLDT is controlling the operations of its field and support personnel such as repair and maintenance crews, call center agents, and sales and service centers. While field crews remain ready to address emergency requirements and critical operations, they follow strict health, safety and sanitation procedures. Given that in-home services of PLDT Home field installers have to be carefully managed, customers who have any urgent concerns are encouraged to access PLDT Home's online platforms for assistance such as PLDTHome.com and @PLDTHome on Facebook and Twitter.
Keeping Filipinos Connected At Home
PLDT Home initiated its meaningful #StayHome campaign during the start od the enhanced community quarantine imposed over Metro Manila and Luzon which provides free, valuable services meant to alleviate the burden felt by its subscribers during the most difficult times aside from its underlying message of encouraging people to remain safely at home.
PLDT Home subscribers in highly affected areas in Luzon including Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, Kalinga, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and Tarlac were given a speed boost to their home broadband internet connection until April 30, 2020. This translates to minimum speeds of 25 Mbps which would surely benefit everyone working at home and those who access entertainment streaming services for family bonding. In line with the speed boost rollout, existing subscribers of PLDT Home Fibr Plan 1899 and up in Luzon are given an automatic one-month subscription to iflix VIP usable until April 30, 2020 giving them access to thousands of TV shows, movies and more.
Those looking for alternative internet services at home may prefer PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi, an easy plug-and-play device for indoor use. Current PLDT Home Prepaid WiFi users, on the other hand, are given an extension to their preferred double data promo until April 30th where they can enjoy up to 200 GB of open access to sites and apps. With the enhanced capacity of home internet usage, PLDT expands the caching capacity of its Data Centers in order to avoid network overload and accommodate data traffic of commonly used social media and streaming sites such as Facebook, YouTube and Netflix. It also implemented a 30-day bill payment extension period and suspended disconnection of overdue accounts of postpaid subscribers with bill period between March 16 and April 15.
